We are looking to recruit a Senior Planning Officer with demonstrable experience to join our Development Management team. With previous experience of delivering high performance standards in planning, you will be required to deliver a quality service to our customers.
The post holder would ideally have or be working towards Chartered membership of the RTPI and have extensive experience of dealing with major planning applications, a sound knowledge and understanding of current planning legislation, local government issues related to planning and a clear understanding of the relationship between corporate priorities and the delivery of the service.

Electrician

We are looking for an experienced electrician who must be competent in undertaking a variety of electrical duties including repairs to tenanted and empty homes.&nbsp;
You will have time-served experience of domestic fault finding and rectification on a variety of circuits, along with a strong background in completing all types of electrical certification that are error free.
You will be converse in multi-trade skills allowing a 'fix first time' approach for our customers.&nbsp; &nbsp;
This role may include Equipment Testing (previous experience preferred but training will be provided).
You will have experience of working in occupied properties and understand the importance of providing great customer care. The ability to work using your own initiative with minimum supervision is key to this very busy department.
A written test and onsite competency assessment will be included as part of the recruitment process.
Additionally, you will also require a current valid full UK Driving Licence.

The Midday Assistant must: Be kind and caring and committed to promoting a love of learning. Be committed to living up to our school vision of excellence. Possess sound common sense and good communication skills. Have the ability to work and communicate with children, particularly supporting our youngest with the lunch time routines. Work well as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities Supervise activities and maintain the health, safety, welfare, good conduct and safeguarding of pupils during the midday break, having regard to special or additional needs. To undertake the general supervision of pupils during the service of meals and to maintain an adequate standard of table manners and eating habits. To provide adequate training in the use of cutlery. To provide welfare and supervision of all pupils before or after the meal and in the playground, hall, corridors and classrooms as instructed by the senior member of classroom staff. The organisation and management of large numbers of pupils. To supervise classes of children inside school during wet lunchtimes. To maintain discipline during the lunch break and to promote adherence to the School¿s Behaviour and Anti Bullying Policies.

You must be able to communicate at all levels, interpreting and articulating often difficult and complex information and decisions. Within your role, you will have direct engagement with Senior Client Council Officers and Elected Members.
Typical duties:

<li>Day to day leadership, management and motivation of teams that specialise in Council Tax and recovery to enforcement stage,&nbsp;</li>

Grade E/F £32,597 - £40,777 (Dependent on experience)

About the role 
We are looking for a Finance Business Partner to join our highly motivated Financial Services team, where continuous improvement and value for money are a priority.
This is a key role to &nbsp;where you’ll be providing financial, commercial and strategic support to Service Managers alongside project support for the transformation of services.
The main focus of this role will be to support our Housing Revenue Account (HRA) services.
The role will be office based with the option of hybrid working with a minimum of 2 days in the office.
Responsibilities will include -

<li>Provide finance business partnering to stakeholders across the organisation.</li>
<li>Build strong working relationships with budget managers by spending time working closely with services to enhance the finance offer.</li>
<li>Advise budget managers and Chief Officers on various financial matters that could include the usage of grants and reserves.</li>
<li>To Support the annual budget setting process, working with Lead Accountants to ensure that a balanced medium-term financial plan/capital programme is delivered in accordance with legislative requirements and accounting standards</li>
<li>Assist the budget monitoring process, with responsibility for supporting budget managers and Chief Officers, producing and presenting Finance and Performance reports for the target audience</li>
<li>Assist with the production of the Council’s Financial Statements, Whole of Government Accounts and the external audit</li>
</ul>

About you 

This is a great role either for someone who’s an experienced Finance Business Partner or similar, or someone with the aspirations, skills and abilities to be one.

Alongside a minimum of AAT qualification (or other equivalent qualification) you’ll need experience of working in a finance environment and be competent in the use of a financial management system to produce budget reporting, annual accounts and financial statements in accordance with the CIPFA Accounting Code of Practice.
You’ll need excellent stakeholder communication and management skills, being a great communicator including being able to explain financial concepts to non-financial staff.
