Coventry’s Rough Sleeping Team has grown significantly over recent years and now supports people experiencing homelessness at every stage of their housing journey. We help individuals move indoors and work with them to prevent further homelessness once they have secured accommodation. Our team supports people with a wide range of needs, often involving complex and challenging circumstances.We recognise that for some individuals, returning to rough sleeping can be a recurring experience. We are committed to breaking this cycle by providing more effective and sustainable supported accommodation.As part of our expanding team of Outreach and Accommodation Workers, the new Senior Accommodation Worker (RSOT) will be responsible for managing a new 15‑room Supported Accommodation house and leading a team of four Support Workers.Our Values In line with our One Coventry Values, we want to ensure that our communities are represented across our workforce. What is the job role? The Senior Accommodation Worker (RSOT) will lead the day‑to‑day operation of a new 15‑room Supported Accommodation house, ensuring the delivery of high‑quality, person‑centred support for individuals transitioning away from rough sleeping. The post holder will manage and support a team of four Support Workers, providing guidance, supervision, and direction to ensure consistent and effective practice.The role involves working closely with residents to stabilise their accommodation, develop independent living skills, and access the services they need to sustain long‑term housing. You will also support the development of improved pathways into accommodation, strengthen partnership working with internal and external agencies, and ensure accurate monitoring of outcomes and progress. This is a frontline leadership role requiring strong organisational skills, sound professional judgement, and a commitment to improving outcomes for people experiencing homelessness.&nbsp;The role sits within a wider supportive team, providing street outreach and accommodation support All candidates must have the Right to Work in the UK. We are seeking an Aids and Adaptations Surveyor to join our Housing Service team where you will play a vital part in enabling residents with disabilities to live independently and safely in their homes.You will be responsible for assessing, specifying, and managing a wide range of property adaptations from minor modifications such as grab rails and ramps, to major projects including wet rooms, structural alterations, refurbishments, and extensions.Working closely with Occupational Therapists, tenants, contractors, and internal teams, you will be responsible for managing projects from referral through to completion, ensuring all works comply with statutory requirements, building regulations, health and safety legislation, and council procedures.Key duties of the role include:Assessing referrals for adaptations and providing clear recommendations for adaptations. Ensuring compliance with Building Regulations, CDM requirements, Equality Act, and Health &amp; Safety legislation. Monitoring budgets, verifying invoices, and contributing to financial planning for the adaptations programme.In order to be competent in this role it is essential that you have detailed knowledge of Health &amp; Safety legislation, particularly CDM Regulations, along with having:HNC/HND in Building Studies or significant relevant experience.
