About the Role

As a Lead Officer in the Portfolio Management Office, you’ll lead a team supporting a portfolio of projects and programmes covering Transport, Employment and Skills, Regeneration, Net Zero and Housing.
Reporting to the Senior Assurance Contracts Manager, you’ll oversee a diverse range of high-profile and large-scale projects and programmes for a wide range of funding streams, providing advice and support to project sponsors, monitoring performance to ensure that project delivery remains on track. You will support projects to ensure that any outputs and outcomes that will benefit the City Region are realised and funding conditions are adhered to. This is a strategic role that blends technical expertise with leadership, compliance, and continuous improvement across all projects and programmes.
We are seeking to establish a talent pool of Lead Officers from which we can recruit over a period of 12 months. We have three positions available now acombination of permanent and 2 year fixed-term, which we are seeking to recruit to immediately with more posts coming on stream as the year progresses. If you are successful, we will make offers of employment for the initial post in Spring 2026 and we will then approach other successful candidates in the Talent Pool over the next 12 months with offers of employment, as and when further projects receive approval to proceed.

About the Role
Wyre Council is seeking a hardworking and reliable LGV Driver / Labourer to support the delivery of essential frontline environmental services across the borough. This is a key operational role within our Street Cleansing service, helping to keep Wyre clean, safe and welcoming for residents and visitors.
You will be responsible for driving LGV vehicles as well as undertaking a range of street cleansing and general labouring duties. The role involves working outdoors in all weather conditions and providing a visible, professional presence within local communities.
What You’ll Do

We are looking to appoint a Waste Management &amp; Street Cleansing OFFICER to join the service.&nbsp; You will be responsible for the daily schedule planning, deployment and supervision of teams to ensure that statutory obligations and service plans are delivered across the Borough.&nbsp; There will be a keen focus on the improvement of the local environmental quality and attention to detail is key when delivering Street Cleansing Services.
As part of the wider service, you will play a role in supporting the service to meet the requirements of the Environment Act 2021 regarding the roll out of simpler recycling principals and the implementation of food waste collections.&nbsp; Additionally, you will also support the continued promotion of the management of waste through reducing, reusing and recycling.
