Recruitment Process

Interview and appointment process
All applicants will be expected to undertake an external assessment to support the recruitment panel in its decision making.
All applicants will be expected to complete a set task on the day of the interview.
Interviews are anticipated to be held in-person in October.

APSE Synergy is seeking an ambitious and commercially minded Director, to lead the delivery and growth of consultancy and interim management services to the Local Government Sector.

Working in partnership with local authorities across the UK, we provide specialist consultancy, interim management and strategic support that helps organisations improve performance, deliver change and achieve sustainable outcomes.
Reporting to the Board, and to APSE’s Chief Executive the Director will have day to day responsibility for running the company, providing strategic and operational leadership for the company, overseeing business development, service delivery, legal and operational compliance and financial management whilst managing a small in-house team alongside managing field associates. The successful candidate will build strong relationships with local authorities, develop a high-performing network of consultants and associates, and ensure that every commission is delivered to the highest professional standards.

Salary range
- £80,000 - £85,000 per year
