Council Tax Billing Officer

About the role
At West Northants Council, it’s about our people and the difference they make. As a Council Tax Billing Officer, you’ll play an important role in delivering a high-quality service that supports residents and helps fund vital services across West Northamptonshire. Working within our Revenues & Benefits team, you’ll be responsible for the accurate and timely administration of Council Tax accounts, ensuring billing is carried out in line with legislation and providing excellent support to our customers.
This is a great opportunity to join a supportive and collaborative team where attention to detail, customer service and continuous improvement are highly valued. Whether you already have experience in Council Tax administration or are looking to build on your knowledge within a Revenues environment, you'll have the chance to develop your skills while making a meaningful contribution to the community
Additional information
You’re a customer-focused and organised individual with strong communication skills and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively. You enjoy solving problems, working with detailed information and delivering excellent service, even in challenging situations. You’re confident communicating with a wide range of people and can explain complex information in a clear and professional way.
You’ll have good literacy, numeracy and IT skills, together with the ability to understand and apply legislation accurately. Experience in Council Tax administration or a Revenues environment would be beneficial, but equally important is your willingness to learn, your attention to detail and your commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes for customers. Salary range
- £34,203 - £37,067 per year
