This is an exciting opportunity to join St Helens Borough Council as an Executive Personal Assistant to the Leader of the Council. Working at the heart of the organisation, you will provide high-quality, confidential and proactive support to one of the borough’s key leadership roles. This is a fast-paced and highly visible position that requires exceptional organisational skills, sound judgement, political awareness and the ability to build effective relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

As Executive Personal Assistant to the Leader, you will manage a complex and demanding schedule, ensuring the Leader’s time is effectively prioritised while maintaining a responsive and professional service. You will coordinate high-level meetings, prepare agendas and supporting documentation, record actions and decisions, and ensure important commitments are tracked through to completion. You will act as a key point of contact between the Leader, councillors, senior officers, partners and the wider community, handling sensitive and politically aware information with the utmost discretion.
