Estates Team Leader (P01506) £55,051 to £58,445 inclusive of outer fringe allowance per annum 37 hours per week (hybrid) Reporting to the Assistant Director (Regeneration and Economic Development) and forming an integral part of the Council’s Regeneration and Economic Development Team, your role will be to manage the Council’s Estates Team. The Council’s commercial property portfolio comprises a range of neighbourhood and town centre retail units, industrial estates, offices and community assets and generates an income of £5.5 Million per annum. In addition to managing this portfolio, with a view to maximising occupancy and revenue income, the Estates Team are also responsible for negotiating covenant releases, disposals, acquisitions, freehold reversions and leasehold extensions and for providing landlord and tenant advice to various internal departments. You will need to have a strong Landlord and Tenant background and significant commercial valuation experience as well as knowledge on all relevant areas of legislation, in particular the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954. You will manage a team of surveyors and support officers as well as external contractors and you will also deputise for the Assistant Director (Regeneration and Economic Development) as necessary. The role would suit a dynamic, results orientated individual used to working in a target driven environment. You will have excellent communication, negotiation, interpersonal, problem solving and IT skills and will have a flexible approach to work. Experience of commercial lease renewals and rent reviews is essential while experience of working in both public and private sectors is desirable. The ability to converse at ease with members of the public, professionals and elected members as well as the ability to provide advice in accurate written and spoken English is essential. About the role
OPDC has an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to join our Planning Team as a Construction Monitoring Manager on a permanent contract. The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Planning Enforcement and Compliance as a senior member of the team and will initially assist with the development of OPDC’s Code of Construction Practice alongside appointed consultants.&nbsp; This is a unique opportunity to shape how construction and development will be managed and monitored in one of London’s largest regeneration areas and ensure that resident’s amenity is protected while enabling the growth and delivering the homes and jobs in OPDC’s Local Plan. The successful candidate will also work with borough colleagues to bring forward a statistical information package to allow comprehensive tracking of key indicators for construction management within OPDC’s areas.&nbsp;
What your day will look like
The successful candidate will lead on a range of construction management issues in the planning process, from pre-application to condition stage, including as assessment of site sensitivity and ensuring that timely engagement with the host borough, stakeholders is integrated into planning decisions.&nbsp;&nbsp; The role also involves the undertaking comprehensive inspections of live sites with borough colleagues to assess construction practice against relevant policy and guidance.&nbsp;
Skills, knowledge and experience
To be considered for the role you must meet the following essential criteria:
Appropriate qualification in construction management and eligibility for membership of the Construction Industry Training Board (CIOB) together with a record of continuing professional development.
Demonstrable experience of construction management and monitoring preferably in a local authority setting.
Good understanding of the working environment of a local planning authority and Mayoral Development Corporation (MDC).&nbsp;
An understanding of the local, regional and national planning policy context and legislative framework, and construction monitoring standards and guidance.&nbsp;
Excellent IT skills and the ability to track and monitor construction impacts.&nbsp;

We’re looking for an experienced senior marketer or campaign manager to join our team at City Hall, to lead marketing that ensures all Londoners are aware of the Mayor of London and Greater London Authority’s (GLA) work and how to participate in their city.
As a Senior Campaign Lead, you’ll plan and manage your own campaigns. The team leads on a range of exciting and important campaigns for the city, working to make London greener, safer, fairer and more prosperous. You’ll lead on campaigns tackling priority issues for Londoners such as ‘Have a Word’ to tackle misogyny and prevent violence against women and girls, air quality, housing and homelessness, or campaigns which celebrate London’s diversity and culture, and drive economic recovery, such as ‘Love London’.
We’re looking for an all-round marketing campaign manager - you’ll be skilled at running integrated, public-facing campaigns using the full channel mix and developing insight-driven strategies. Experience working with agencies (creative, media, public relations and research) is desired, and you should be confident managing projects across teams and dealing with senior stakeholders, external partners and sponsors. The role requires you to manage a Marketing Officer so line management experience is useful.

About the role

This role involves leading on project management of the delivery of two major initiatives: the Holborn Liveable Neighbourhood programme and the Better, Safer Kilburn scheme.&nbsp;
The Holborn LN programme (HLN) is an ambitious £55m project that will transform the area into safe, healthy, accessible streets and climate-resilient streets, while enhancing public spaces and supporting local businesses and attractions such as the British Museum. The HLN is currently in feasibility stage and we are gearing up for a public consultation in Summer 2026.
The Better, Safer Kilburn scheme is a £12m project to make the town centre a safer and more attractive place to visit, improve air quality, encourage walking and cycling, and create a more pleasant and welcoming town centre. Working with neighbouring Boroughs Brent and Westminster, the scheme has been approved for delivery following consultation and is gearing up to implementation phases.&nbsp;
As a Principal Transport Planner, you will project manage and oversee the design, consultation, and implementation phases of Healthy Streets schemes within these programmes. You will coordinate with internal departments and external partners, including Transport for London, to ensure successful delivery. Your role will also involve conducting community engagement and consultation, ensuring inclusivity and effective outcomes, and contributing to strategic initiatives such as urban greening and high street renewal. You will prepare high-quality reports, manage budgets, and maintain financial oversight while driving innovative solutions in a dynamic environment.
You will be responsible for line managing a Senior Transport Planner in a pro-active, innovative, and dynamic way, helping this officer deliver a portfolio of Healthy Streets projects and support their personal development.

All About You
To be successful in securing this role you will have strong experience of successful project management and delivery of complex heathy streets schemes. You will also have a strong understanding and experience of the policy and statutory framework within which Healthy Streets, transport planning and related activities.&nbsp;
You will be a pro-active and forward-thinking experienced project manager, capable of successfully managing initiatives, often over-lapping with one another, both on time and to budget. You will be able to demonstrate effective partnership working and the ability to develop strong stakeholder relations, including liaising with all relevant external organisations such as TfL, GLA, other boroughs and external funders. To ensure success in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding and appreciate of issues specifically around streetscape design, accessibility, and sustainability. You will be able to help prepare high quality papers and reports for Council Committees, public meetings, and other bodies such as appeals and public inquiries (may be required to attend such events as and when necessary).
You will have need to have an ability to work closely and effectively with elected members, and have an appreciation of the Camden’s political landscape, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. And you will need to show professionalism and expertise in Healthy Streets/LN schemes matters on behalf of the Council at both internal and external meetings, and help advance the Council’s strategic transport positions and priorities at such meetings. This is your chance to make a meaningful impact by identifying key areas of inequality and driving informed, equitable change across our local population.<h4>About the role</h4>You will work in the JSNA team to: <ul><li>Undertake rapid literature reviews of academic/scientific articles and other evidence, applying critical appraisal and scientific good practice in evidence review methods. </li><li>Undertake, interpret and present in visual and written form analysis of quantitative data to a high standard, working in collaboration with the Epidemiology sub-team as appropriate, and applying appropriate statistical methods. </li><li>Working under the guidance of the Strategic Lead (JSNA) and the Senior JSNA Researcher and in collaboration with others, lead and undertake the writing of health needs assessment content, including evidence reviews, findings from the data, gap analysis of current service provision and drafting recommendations. </li><li>Share responsibility for dealing with ad hoc requests received by the JSNA and PH Evidence and Intelligence teams providing information and guidance to a myriad of stakeholders. </li><li>If resource permits, line manage Assistant JSNA Researchers, allocating tasks as appropriate, ensuring their continued development, overseeing their work, providing regular feedback and ensuring quality.</li></ul><h4>About you</h4>Essential:<ul><li>The successful candidate should hold (or is currently studying for) a Master in Public Health or other relevant Master’s degree.</li><li>A minimum of one year’s experience working as an assistant public health analyst/researcher/evaluation officer or equivalent.</li><li>Knowledge of literature searching techniques, critical appraisal frameworks and public health evidence databases.</li><li>Demonstrable recent experience of undertaking the creation of bespoke JSNA or similar content, including data visualisation and written reports.</li><li>Excellent communications skills, both oral and written, to analyse highly complex statistical information, sometimes in a consulting role, resulting in the need to have high level persuasive, motivational and negotiating skills.</li><li>Demonstrates excellent ability to present highly complex and sensitive information to other statistical specialists and non-specialist audiences and individuals in a confident and engaging manner.</li><li>Experience of working with limited supervision to achieve agreed objectives and make decisions on how they may be best achieved, while adhering to broad professional or organisational policies.</li></ul> Desirable:<ul><li>Knowledge of public health principles and their practical application in relation to the JSNA process.</li><li>Demonstrable recent experience of working with a broad range of public health datasets.</li><li>Demonstrable recent experience of presenting both quantitative and qualitative public health information in high quality written reports.</li><li>Specialist knowledge, across epidemiology and statistics that enables the creation of high quality data content on the JSNA, drawing from a wide range of data sources.</li><li>Demonstrable recent experience of working with a broad range of public health datasets and good working knowledge of various statistical software packages to undertake complex data manipulation.</li></ul>We welcome applications from candidates who currently reside in the UK with established proof of right to work documentation.
