As Housing Policy, Performance and Complaints Officer the postholder will assist in the work of the Housing Services team, including leading on the research and development of new strategies, policies and procedures. They will collect robust and accurate data to enable the Housing Services section to effectively monitor performance in all areas across the department. Whilst also administering the complaint handling function for the Housing department.

Essential requirements for this role include:

<li>Degree (or equivalent) in a related subject.</li>
<li>Have an understanding of current housing issues and social housing.</li>
<li>Experience of working in policy, performance or complaint management.</li>
<li>Flexible and adaptable approach, with an ability to switch between a variety of tasks.</li>
<li>Highly motivated self-starter, with an ability to plan and undertake own work programme.</li>
<li>Ability to understand complex issues and communicate to a wide range of audiences.</li>

What is the job role? We are looking for a Housing Liaison Officer to join our Through Care service within Children’s Services. This role is key to supporting care leavers in securing permanent housing and making a successful transition to independent living. You will work closely with personal advisors, housing teams, and external providers to ensure accommodation options are identified and accessed in line with care plans. A unique opportunity is available to join our award-winning Housing Options Team and provide advice and assistance to households experiencing homelessness.
We are looking for an individual who is determined to break down barriers in order to find creative and innovative solutions to complex issues, that will prevent vulnerable households from becoming homeless. You will have the opportunity to use homeless legislation, policy and procedure to make a real difference to the lives of vulnerable people.
Key responsibilities will include:

Housing AssistantPermanent, 37 hours per week£26,824 - £31,022 per annum (depending on skills and experience)This is an exciting opportunity to join the Shared Housing Service working for both Wychavon and Malvern Hills District Council/s as a Housing Assistant, supporting the Strategic Housing Team. This role is a permanent role, 37 hours working from Monday through to Friday.
