Hours - 37 hours per week)

Contract type – Fixed Term/Secondment Opportunity until 1st August 2028

Location – Any suitable location in the City of Wolverhampton


The City of Wolverhampton Council (CWC) has an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to join our City Housing Team.

As the successful candidate, you will support the team in the provision of a comprehensive service in all aspects of the Council’s Housing Managing Agents, which includes an Arms-Length Management Organisation (ALMO) and three Tenant Management Organisations (TMOs).

Working in Landlord Services, you will support the Council’s compliance with the requirements set out by the Regulator of Social Housing’s Consumer Standards.

You will ensure practical and operational readiness for inspection and regulatory activity. Support the leadership team, housing managing agents, elected members, partners/stakeholders, and others prior to, during and following inspection.

Contribute to the production and/or co-ordination of reports, data, action plans, risk registers and other documentation as required.

Lead and coordinate the Council’s Tenant Satisfaction Measure surveys, publication and annual submission.

Work with Council colleagues and Housing Managing Agents to oversee, coordinate and report on the Councils compliance with Fire and Building Safety regulations.

Develop upon existing performance management frameworks to gain assurance and identify risks to the Council. Plan and identify areas of improvement through proactive identification of best practice.

Contribute to a culture of tenant engagement and influence.

You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to communicate, negotiate and ensure accessibility of information across a range of audiences including senior leaders.

You will have an awareness of inspection/regulatory landscape for social housing, the Regulator of Social Housing, and the Housing Consumer Standards.

Our working arrangements

All council roles are allocated to either a fixed, field or flexible work style. Some roles are agile which enable and empower employees to maximise their performance and productivity, whilst maintaining a healthy work life balance. Roles with a fixed workstyle work in a fixed permanent council location. Roles with a field workstyle are usually allocated where employees are required to be out working in the community with a minimum requirement for 'touch down' space at any council location. Roles with a flexible workstyle have a flexible base location to meet the needs of the business and employees can work from a mixture of home or any council office, partner/client, or external location, as required to meet service requirements.
