The Role: 
Are you pro-active and customer-focused with a keen eye for detail? We’re looking for a Tenant Move Coordinator to join our Council Housing team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference by supporting our tenants to access the best housing options available to them.
You will play a key role in promoting the efficient use of the council housing stock. You will support tenants who wish to move, including those looking to downsize, and champion mutual exchange as a viable solution.
You will need to demonstrate a real commitment to providing excellent customer care with a resourceful approach to problem solving.
What You’ll Be Doing:
<ul>
<li>Proactively identify tenants who are interested in downsizing and guide them through every step of the moving journey.</li>
<li>Promoting and facilitating mutual exchanges as a housing option.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Maintaining and validating applications on the online exchange system.</li>
<li>Assisting tenants with property adverts and advising on standards. .</li>
<li>Organising and assisting with supported moves.</li>
<li>Working creatively to raise awareness of mutual exchange through social media, newsletters, and other channels.</li>
<li>Undertaking viewings and sign-ups throughout the district.</li>
</ul>
What We’re Looking For
<ul>
<li>Knowledge of social housing and social housing properties within the Lancaster district.</li>
<li>GCSE Maths and English (Grade C or above) or equivalent.</li>
<li>Previous experience dealing with the public in a busy, customer-focused environment.</li>
<li>Excellent IT skills, including use of Excel, databases, and social media.</li>
<li>Strong communication skills and a proactive, problem-solving attitude.</li>
<li>Ability to work flexibly, under pressure, and as part of a team.</li>

The Council is looking to appoint a part time Housing Needs Officer (HNO). The primary role is to advise and assist households at risk of homelessness. The Council offers a range of initiatives to prevent homelessness and the HNO’s role will be to deliver these schemes. The post involves making home visits, inspecting properties and interviewing households. The service offers daily appointments or over the phone advice and assistance, which then requires follow up casework by the HNO.&nbsp;
The role involves partnership working with housing providers, care/support providers, probation service, mental health services and many other agencies.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced Housing Standards Officer to join our Environmental Health Residential Team. This is a full-time permanent position.
The Environmental Health teams are within our Housing Health and Engineering Service area and deliver a range of regulatory functions across the Council.
Being part of the Residential Team, you will cover a wide range of housing duties, including the enforcement of housing standards, HMOs licensing and investigation of harassment and illegal eviction of private tenants. You will also investigate statutory nuisance and drainage complaints from homeowners and tenants. As part of the Residential Team, you will be given the opportunity to contribute to other areas of work, such as private water supplies and empty properties.
