&nbsp;The Senior Digital Strategy Manager is a key member of the Digital Communications team, responsible for shaping and delivering the Mayor of London and Greater London Authority’s digital communications programme. Principal Accountabilities

<li>Significant experience of planning, managing, executing and optimising paid social media advertising, particularly across Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, YouTube and Google, with a good understanding of campaign objectives, targeting strategies and creative development.</li>
<li>Strong understanding of audience psychology, behavioural science principles, and how to apply them to influence behaviours and decision-making through digital content and advertising.</li>

The Directorate is also responsible for regeneration (where the programme is not housing led), enterprise, growth, capital projects and design work.
About the team
The GLA Environment and Energy unit is recruiting two Senior Policy and Programme Officer roles in the Climate Adaptation team. One role will be focussed on project management. The other will be a technical officer role with a focus on water.
The Climate Adaptation team is part of the wider Climate Change Team at City Hall. The work of the team focusses on planning for and better managing the accelerating climate change risks through a range of project and programme delivery and policy development. London and Londoners are coming under increasing pressure from a changing climate and an increase in frequency, duration and intensity of extreme weather events affecting water resources and water infrastructure, leading to increased flood risk and damaging river health. It is resulting in a growing risk of overheating, heatwaves and wildfires.
The work of the team is fundamentally about reducing London’s exposure to these risks by adapting the city, the systems that serve the city and the communities that live and work in London. A key priority is focussing on tackling the inequalities in how climate risks impact Londoners.
About the role&nbsp;
These roles will work on the Mayor’s manifesto commitment to improve the health of London’s rivers and other waterbodies, for the benefit of all Londoners. Early tasks include supporting the technical development of a plan and the actions needed to achieve clean and healthy waterways, as well as taking forward the projects which are identified in the plan.
The project manager&nbsp;role&nbsp;will focus on keeping the programme on track and acting as the central point of coordination between work streams, manager, the Mayor’s office and partners. Considerable stakeholder management will also be an important part of this role and will include a mix of internal GLA group and external stakeholders involved in creating and delivering the Mayor’s Clean and Healthy Waterways Plan.
The technical role&nbsp;will focus largely on water quality related aspects of the plan, but there will be significant interaction with other areas of the plan development and delivery, so including biodiversity and ecology, access, inclusion and engagement. For this role, water policy and/or water project delivery knowledge would be critical, particularly in relation to understanding the barriers to good river health and opportunities to reduce pollution such as blue and green infrastructure.
Also important for both roles are project management skills, ability to work collaboratively with multiple and sometimes conflicting stakeholders and good verbal and written communication skills.
There is an intention for this post to be made permanent subject to pending approvals.

What your day will look like
The GLA cannot deliver this manifesto commitment alone, engaging and working with partners is key to success. The first stage of this work involves contributing to completing work on the emerging 10 year plan to clean up London’s rivers. We’ll then be quickly moving on to focussing on delivering that plan through our work and that of our partners.
Whether you are in the project management role or the water technical officer role you will be working in a fast-paced programme development environment.&nbsp; You will be working closely with other members of the clean and healthy rivers virtual team. Principally this includes other members of the climate team and the green infrastructure team. You will also work closely with relevant responsible managers working on developing the plan and delivery. Good communication and a willingness to collaborate will be important attributes for the successful candidates.
Both roles will also be working with key external partners, so expect to spend a good portion of your time meeting with key partners including regulators, environmental NGOs and other charities and campaign groups as well as water company colleagues.
The project manager role will focus on tracking key tasks along the programme to keep the programme and plan development moving forwards. Coordination and oversight of across all four themes of the plan will be key to ensure progress is being driven forward. You will be expected to report on progress regularly and share this information with senior leaders and the Mayor’s office on a regular basis, including thinking about how progress should be communicated with partners and the public. &nbsp;
The technical officer role, will be working closely with the key water stakeholders from the public, private and third sector and can also expect to be using their technical knowledge working on mapping and data analysis to inform the plan actions and implementation of that plan.
Skills, knowledge and experience
To be considered for the role you must meet the following essential criteria:
Be organised and able to demonstrate that you can plan and manage a range of tasks and prioritise effectively with some experience in project management.
Experience in stakeholder management
Experience of public engagement and stakeholder management.
Some knowledge of the Mayor’s environment and climate priorities is welcome but not essential
Project Manager role:&nbsp;some formal project management experience, training or a recognised project management qualification training is required and demonstrable experience of stakeholder management, events development and/or management would be an advantage.
Technical role:&nbsp;Experience of water policy, or a water technical specialism, environmental data analysis and GIS would be preferred (technical role).

Hackney Council is looking for a&nbsp;skilled, enthusiastic and experienced individual to join as a Strategic Finance Manager within the Housing and Regeneration Finance Team.&nbsp;The post holder will be the lead finance officer in the directorate, responsible for providing strategic high level financial advice and support to senior management. You will work closely with the Assistant Director of Finance to set robust controls, all at a time of real economic challenge in the public sector.
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate sufficient knowledge and experience of Housing Finance particularly Capital and Housing Delivery to provide the level of leadership and support required in this senior position, including knowledge of the challenges affecting the service area and the Council as a whole and the strategies being applied to address them. The post holder will have overall responsibility for the strategic management of the directorate, financial management, including financial strategies, revenue and capital budgets, the accounts, financial systems and financial information to Members and third parties. All of these will involve working closely with staff in the Regeneration, Economy and Housing Delivery including the Director. You will also directly manage a team of two and any apprentices allocated to the team.
To flourish in this role, you will need to build relationships and understand the business needs with broader financial objectives. You need to be part CCAB qualified or have extensive accounting experience with a solid understanding of local government Housing Finance, Capital and Housing Development.

Woodberry Down is one of the largest estate regeneration programmes in Europe, providing around 6,000 new homes, plus parks, shops and public facilities alongside the stunning Woodberry Wetlands. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Strategic Finance Manager for the Woodberry Down Regeneration Scheme to play a crucial role in ensuring good financial management, supporting land assembly initiatives, and facilitating full cost recovery of council expenses. The role will sit in the Housing and Regeneration Finance Team but will work closely with the Woodberry Down Regeneration Team - particularly the Head of Regeneration.
We’re looking for someone who has local authority development finance experience&nbsp;and is a&nbsp;CCAB-qualified accountant.&nbsp;Knowledge of the practical operation of complex, large scale Development Agreements, and phased regeneration projects would also be beneficial.
Key Responsibilities:
Support delivery of sound financial management, including recording and evidencing land assembly and relevant costs, to enable full cost recovery.
- Ensure cost reclaim from the Development Partner (Berkley Homes) is kept up&nbsp; &nbsp;to date.
- Provide information and assurance for viability test inputs, collaborating closely with the regeneration team.
- Assist with land assembly budget setting.
- Conduct monthly budgeting and reporting for both capital and revenue.
- Prepare quarterly accounts for sites subject to CPO indemnity agreements.
- Possess a basic understanding of development finance and the operation of Woodberry Down and/or large Regeneration Schemes
- Review and provide comments on the regeneration team's financial propositions.

Some of the work needed in Newham, in relation to high-rise and mid-rise buildings, is to support an increase in the level of enforcement activity, where required, to robustly drive the remediation of unsafe private sector buildings in our area. Our enforcement efforts include: identifying remaining high-rise and mid-rise buildings with unsafe cladding and other relevant fire safety defects; managing building-by-building data; obtaining information for DLUHC on specific buildings of concern; engaging with building owners to monitor and drive the progress of remediation; and taking appropriate and swift regulatory and enforcement action so that buildings are made safe faster.  Key Responsibilities • &nbsp; &nbsp;Maintain high standards of cleanliness and general upkeep across the Centre, garden, and car park. • &nbsp; &nbsp;Set up rooms for Centre bookings, often with quick turnaround times. • &nbsp; &nbsp;Prepare and clear refreshment trollies as requested by hirers. • &nbsp; &nbsp;Reset rooms and Centre spaces for use the following day. • &nbsp; &nbsp;Conduct regular testing and checks on fire and security systems. • &nbsp; &nbsp;Act as a key holder: opening, closing, and securing the building when needed. • &nbsp; &nbsp;Perform routine checks and ensure regular servicing, MOT, and cleaning of the Centre’s minibus. • &nbsp; &nbsp;Drive the Centre minibus to transport older residents to and from the Centre and other scheduled destinations. • &nbsp; &nbsp;Assist passengers in boarding and disembarking safely and ensure compliance with safety procedures, including seatbelt use. • &nbsp; &nbsp;Report any incidents, concerns, or vehicle defects promptly to management. • &nbsp; &nbsp;Carry out daily/weekly vehicle checks and maintain relevant records (mileage, fuel, cleanliness, etc.). • &nbsp; &nbsp;Undertake basic DIY and decorating tasks around the Centre. • &nbsp; &nbsp;Monitor and manage supplies, including ordering, receiving, and storing stock. • &nbsp; &nbsp;Support the Centre Manager with general administrative and operational duties. • &nbsp; &nbsp;Instruct hirers in the correct and safe use of Centre equipment. • &nbsp; &nbsp;Provide a friendly and professional presence to ensure all users feel safe, welcome, and supported. • &nbsp; &nbsp;Be available to work at other Community Centres on occasion, if required.
 What We’re Looking For: • &nbsp; &nbsp;A flexible, proactive, and practical individual with a strong work ethic. • &nbsp; &nbsp;A clean, valid driving licence with D1 entitlement and MiDAS (Minibus Driver Awareness Scheme) certification. • &nbsp; &nbsp;Experience or confidence in cleaning, general maintenance, and light DIY tasks. • &nbsp; &nbsp;A friendly and approachable attitude, especially when interacting with the public and Centre users. • &nbsp; &nbsp;Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. • &nbsp; &nbsp;A genuine interest in helping to maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming community space.
