At Adur Homes, we are actively investing in our workforce. As part of our exciting service redesign, we are looking for dedicated Multi Trade Operatives to join our team on a permanent basis.
These additional posts sit at the very heart of our service. Working on the front line within our communities, you will interact directly with our residents every day. You will support the Multi Trade Operative Supervisor by undertaking high-quality housing maintenance, repairs, and refurbishment works across tenanted, leasehold, and vacant council-owned properties.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for individuals who are both highly competent tradespeople and compassionate professionals. Our residents are at the centre of everything we do, so your ability to handle situations with empathy, kindness, and understanding is just as important as your technical skill set.
To be successful, you will need:
Competence & Skill: A City & Guilds, BTEC, NVQ, or documented equivalent experience in an appropriate construction trade (e.g., carpentry, plumbing, brickwork, or general maintenance).
Compassion & Communication: A positive, inclusive attitude towards customers, with a commitment to valuing kindness and compassion in the Workplace.
Adaptability: A willingness to embrace new ways of working and participate in an out-of-hours duty rota to support our residents when they need us most.
Requirements: A valid driving licence and a good standard of physical fitness to carry out the required duties.
Our Values
We live by a set of simple, powerful principles:
We listen.
We say what we think & do what we say.
We are inclusive & kind.
We think & act beyond ourselves and our service.
Apply today to help us build a safer, better-supported community for Adur Homes residents!
The successful candidate will be subject to a Basic DBS Check Clearance.
