Mill School Bury is an independent autism specialist school which supports children and young people aged from 7 - 17. The school has been designed to best support children’s mental health and well-being and to provide a state-of-the-art learning environment.

This team is involved in strategically planning, procuring, and managing services that aim to improve outcomes for these pupils.You will be joining a small team of commissioning&nbsp;managers responsible for the commissioning&nbsp;of mainstream, specialist and alternative education provision&nbsp;and places&nbsp;across the Early Years education phase&nbsp;all the way through to post-16 and post-19 specialist&nbsp;provision, working closely with partners in other education services in Sutton, school and other&nbsp;education providers, and colleagues&nbsp;in Health and Social Care. Redbridge Mental Health Support Team (MHST) within the Local Authority Educational Psychology Service (EPS) are hoping to recruit talented and enthusiastic Education Mental Health Practitioners (EMHPs) to work in our dynamic and supportive team.
Redbridge MHST:
In Redbridge we believe that we are an innovative service that responds directly to our local needs. Our MHST sits within a well-established team of Educational Psychologists (EPs) who are committed to achieving positive outcomes for children and young people in diverse and often challenging situations. Within the EPS our MHST works alongside Redbridge Educational Well-Being Team (REWT) a creative and well-regarded team providing universal whole school support to our schools. We offer a consultation model to service delivery which values a systemic and relational approach.
The opportunity:
This is an exciting time for a qualified EMHP to join our MHST in Redbridge. Our MHST is expanding to offer a service to more schools and partners, providing opportunity to form new relationships with educational settings, as well as maintaining our established relationships with schools.
You will work alongside our current EMHPs to deliver low-intensity interventions to children, young people and their families. This will consist of both individual and group work. You will also work with your assigned schools/colleges to support their whole school approach to mental health and wellbeing.
EMHPs work closely with EPs in schools as well as driving and supporting change with our local authority and health care partners across the borough. This offers opportunity to engage in borough wide projects such as our current campaign to reduce stigma around Mental Health and our Race and Equity Awareness Scheme.
