Service Support Officer
About the role:
As a Service Support Officer, you will be at the heart of our customer experience. You will join a team of 10, delivering efficient and effective customer services to thousands of customers who use our Highways and Road Networks daily, making sure they have safe, reliable journeys.
Based at Mallory Buildings, Birkenhead, you will be helping us respond to approximately 2,000 enquires per month both from Wirral residents and Councillors.
About the Candidate:
We would like to hear from you if you have experience of dealing witha wide range of queries which maybe by an email, phone call or a letter, you will be providing the help or information our customers need in a timely and effective way.
You will also learn how to deal with and respond appropriately to customer queries and complaints and provide accurate, real-time information on issues to our residents, partner organisations and colleagues.
As well as gaining real life experience in a challenging and rewarding role you will learn how we manage customer service delivery and performance and how we work with Councillors, suppliers and contractors.

This contributes to an annual economic impact to the City of Brighton &amp; Hove of circa £1bn per annum, contributing to 18,000 jobs in the local area.The Box Office team are the customers first point of contact when booking tickets for events at the venue so creating a welcoming first impression is essential. Knowledge of ticketing systems would be beneficial, however training would be given. The post-holders should have previous customer service experience, excellent communication skills, be able to work alone or as part of a team.Working within an ever-changing business environment the post-holder needs to possess a strong quality driven customer focus, combined with a demonstrable ability to work across the venue in the promotion of innovative customer services. The role is responsible for a team of CROs within an Area Office/s, but they also work closely with Local Housing Managers (LHMs) and carry out duties required by Senior Housing Managers (SHMs). Work collaboratively with peers in other locations, as well as team managers in other departments within PCC in particular Finance and Transactions, Tenancy Support, Portsmouth Homes Complaints and the Repairs Support/Building Services Teams, as often the CRO team are the face of Portsmouth Homes, covering all Landlord Services. The role is responsible for proactive staff management, including absence management and performance management including disciplinary and capability issues as well as ensuring that there are appropriate resources to meet demand at all times, and that staff work in a safe and secure manner.

The Role

Salt Ayre Leisure Centre has the latest in fitness and training equipment, an indoor adventure play area and indoor and outdoor climbing facilities. Not to mention an immersive spinning studio and dedicated training zone.
In your role you will be responsible, as part of a team, for maintaining the smooth running of the state of the art Leisure Centre. You will be dedicated in delivering an excellent customer experience for all our established and new customers. Supervising the swimming pool and flume, setting up and cleaning equipment for a wide range of sporting activities will be some of your day-to-day duties.
You will be the face of the Leisure Centre and it is a great opportunity to be part of an enthusiastic, passionate and vibrant team. You will be confident and outgoing as your duties will include organising school holiday events and children’s birthday parties. You will also be expected to work in other areas of the leisure centre after appropriate training.
You will be offered work / shifts based around the centre opening times; 6:00am to 11:00pm Monday to Friday and 8.00am-8.00pm at weekends. This post is based at Salt Ayre Leisure Centre. A National Pool Lifeguard Qualification is essential for this post.&nbsp;
Full Lifeguard qualification training is available to the right person if required.
Excellent swimming ability will be required for this post. At the interview stage you will be required to carry out a swimming ability test.

Some of the key responsibilities include: • Provide high standards of customer care at all times. • To be familiar with the venues ever changing artistic offer of shows, films, and events. • To be familiar with the food and beverage menu. • Serve drinks, food, and confectionery across the building. • To maintain the required level of cleanliness across all front of house and back of house areas as required by the Hospitality and Operations Manager (including equipment, washrooms, rooms for hire, and auditoria). • Undertake the manual handling of goods, refuse and equipment. • Follow stock rotation procedures to minimise waste. • Assist customers to purchase tickets at the ticketing kiosks as necessary • Operate all relevant aspects of the EPOS system. The ideal candidate will have: • Good numeracy and literacy skills. • Previous experience of working in a team. • Experience of working in a hospitality and food service environment is desirable. • A Basic Food Hygiene Certificate is desirable but training will be given. • Experience of using an EPOS system is desirable but training will be given. • Customer Service experience is desirable. • Excellent communication skills. • Basic computer and IT skills. • Energy and motivation to work in a busy arts environment. An opportunity has arisen within Sefton Council for a casual leisure attendant post based at Bootle Leisure Centre, to work in the role of a lifeguard.
You are required to hold a full - current lifeguarding certificate and will be expected to provide poolside as well as dry-side area supervision. You will be required to work as part of a team, ensuring customer safety and high standards of service and customer care at all times.&nbsp; This role requires constant supervision of the poolside; you will need to be fully focused with the ability to remain vigilant, alert, and attentive at all times.&nbsp; This position also involves the setting up of equipment to meet the needs of the programmed activities and to undertake cleaning tasks to ensure the centre is well presented to the highest standard.&nbsp;
Ideal candidates will need to be available to work throughout the summer holiday period June to September inclusive.
Candidates will have a friendly and approachable manner to always maintain a high level of customer service.&nbsp; Candidates must attend monthly training sessions to demonstrate competency and maintain a valid qualification.
Qualifications
It is essential you have a current Royal Lifesaving Society National Pool Lifeguard Qualification. A first aid at work qualification, AED and pool plant operator’s certificate are also desirable.
Skills and Experience
The Leisure Attendant should ideally be able to demonstrate a level of experience and knowledge commensurate with the position.
