
ICT Account Manager
Are you passionate about using technology to transform services, improve outcomes and build strong relationships with senior stakeholders?
We are looking for an ICT Account Manager to become the trusted ICT partner for our Transformation and Finance & Resources Directorates. In this strategic business partnering role, you will work closely with senior leaders to understand their priorities, shape future technology solutions and ensure ICT investment delivers real business value.
Acting as the key link between the business and ICT, you will identify opportunities for innovation, support the delivery of transformational change and help drive improvements that enhance customer experience and organisational efficiency. You will also play a key role in driving technology improvements and co-ordinating the resolution of complex issues
This is a varied role offering the opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio of services, support major strategic programmes and play a key part in shaping the future direction of technology across Staffordshire County Council.
This is fixed term until 30 September 2027.
Main ResponsibilitiesYou will:
- Act as the strategic link between the business and ICT.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior managers, stakeholders, ICT colleagues and suppliers.
- Support and challenge business areas to identify opportunities where technology can improve services, increase efficiency and enable transformational change.
- Lead and support the development of business cases for ICT and digital investment, ensuring proposals are aligned to organisational and ICT strategy.
- Act as the primary point of escalation for ICT service delivery issues and work collaboratively across ICT teams to drive resolution and continuous improvement.
- Provide expert advice on current and emerging technologies, translating technical concepts into clear business-focused recommendations.
- Support procurement and contract management activities, ensuring ICT contracts remain compliant, deliver value for money and continue to meet business needs.
You'll have strong ICT knowledge with exceptional relationship building and influencing skills and also
- be comfortable working with senior stakeholders
- be able to understand complex business challenges and translate them into practical technology solutions.
- have strategic stakeholder management and business partnering experience.
- have excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills, bringing people together, challenge constructively and drive positive outcomes.
- have the ability to build trusted relationships at all organisational levels.
- have experience of developing business cases and supporting transformational change.
- be strong commercial awareness including supplier and contract management.
- have ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business language.
- have knowledge of ICT services, digital transformation and emerging technologies.
- have excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- have strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- be passion for delivering excellent customer service and continuous improvement.

Salary range
- £50,269 - £54,495 per year
