Housing Management Officer

£29,542 - £34,811 per annum

Are you passionate about delivering excellent services to customers and making a positive difference within local communities?

Mansfield District Council is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Housing Management Officer to join our Tenancy Services team. This is a demanding yet highly rewarding role that plays a vital part in supporting our tenants, sustaining tenancies, and maintaining thriving neighbourhoods across the district.

As a Housing Management Officer, you will be responsible for delivering all aspects of frontline housing management services, including estate and tenancy management. You will work closely with tenants, residents, partner agencies, and colleagues to provide effective solutions to tenancy-related issues, promote tenancy sustainment, and ensure our estates remain safe, clean, and desirable places to live.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a designated housing patch and providing a visible presence within local communities.
  • Delivering all aspects of tenancy management, including mutual exchanges, tenancy changes, breaches of tenancy, and tenancy sustainment.
  • Managing estate-related matters and addressing environmental and neighbourhood concerns.
  • Investigating and resolving reports of anti-social behaviour and tenancy breaches.
  • Working collaboratively with internal and external partners to support vulnerable tenants and improve outcomes.
  • Ensuring services are delivered in line with regulatory requirements and the Tenant Satisfaction Measures (TSMs), with a strong focus on customer experience and continuous service improvement.
  • Supporting the Council's commitment to providing safe, sustainable, and well-managed communities.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, a strong commitment to customer service, and the ability to manage a varied caseload in a busy environment. Experience of housing management, tenancy enforcement, estate management, or a related field is essential. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated team and make a genuine difference to the lives of our tenants and communities. In return, we offer a supportive working environment, opportunities for professional development, and the chance to contribute to the delivery of high-quality housing services across Mansfield.

If you thrive on variety, enjoy working with people, and are looking for a challenging and rewarding career in housing, we would love to hear from you.
