  • Providing supervision, professional support and practice guidance to identified staff and students.
  • Undertaking and supporting timely assessments, reviews and professional interventions for adults, families and carers.
  • Supporting effective safeguarding practice, including safeguarding enquiries and complex casework where required.
  • Helping the team to deliver high-quality support plans that clearly reflect individual needs, outcomes, risks and strengths.
  • Working collaboratively with internal and external partners to support safe, effective and joined-up services.
  • Contributing to service improvement, performance monitoring and the development of good practice across the team.
  • Deputising for the Team Manager when required and taking a lead in agreed areas of practice or specialist interest.

About You

We are seeking someone who is confident, organised and committed to delivering excellent adult social care practice. You will bring sound professional judgement, strong communication skills and the ability to support others to work effectively in a changing and busy environment.

  • At least two years’ practitioner experience within an Adult Social Care setting.
  • Line management or supervisory experience within a statutory setting.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant adult social care legislation, statutory guidance, safeguarding practice and Occupational Therapy interventions.
  • Experience of working in partnership with people, families, carers, advocates and professional partners.
  • Ability to support performance, manage competing priorities and promote positive practice change.
  • Good IT, written communication and record-keeping skills.
  • A commitment to equality, diversity, continuous professional development and Oxfordshire County Council’s values.
