Broadway First School has begun to embark on an ambitious and exciting journey to expand its Laugh ‘N’ Learn Preschool provision. In September 2025, Laugh ‘n’ Learn Nursery opened its doors to babies from 9 months old.
The governors of Broadway First School are looking for an enthusiastic, passionate and highly committed Nursery Practitioner to contribute to this new chapter for the school. Our Nursery Practitioner will ideally hold a minimum of a Level 1 approved qualification together with experience of working in a nursery setting with babies and toddlers. You will have a knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage recognising your responsibilities towards Safeguarding, Special Educational Needs and other legislative requirements for working with young children. You will have a strong commitment to delivering high-quality care to young people and be able to demonstrate the school’s ethos and values within the setting through your daily work.
There may be an opportunity for an outstanding candidate to enrol on an apprenticeship to achieve relevant qualifications alongside the role if they do not currently hold them.
This is initially a part-time role as the setting grows. You will be able to show flexibility to meet the needs of increasing numbers. We anticipate the hours of this role increasing as the setting becomes further established. The ability to supervise Wraparound Care would be hugely beneficial.
The successful candidate will have the unique opportunity to thrive in a developing setting whilst benefiting from the support of Broadway First School staff and procedures already in place. We strongly welcome school visits so that you can see our wonderful school for yourself.
We can offer you:
- A high-quality learning environment.
- An opportunity to shape a new nursery setting with support from school staff and existing procedures and policies.
- A school that believes in growing the skills and knowledge of its staff
- The opportunity to make a real difference to our community and its children
We would love you to join us if you…
- believe children should feel safe, valued and cared for
- have knowledge and experience of the Early Years
- are committed to further improving your own practice and qualifications
- understand how children learn and develop
