What is the job role?

The Early Help Assessment Coordinator role requires you to work collaboratively with partners and stakeholders to support the initiation of Early Help Assessments and completion of Early Help plans for children and families where partners hold Lead Professional responsibility, and to provide support to children, young people, and their families through the delivery of early help services to improve outcomes through the integrated Family Hub Model and delivery of Intensive Family Support.

Specific job purposes are:

  • To take the lead on ensuring Early Help Assessments completed by partner agencies meet the identified needs of children, young people & their families to achieve a coordinated early help response that results in sustainable change for families.
  • To work in partnership with a range of services such as Family Health and Lifestyle Service, Schools, Early Years providers, Housing, Police to empower families to sustain positive changes that will improve the outcomes for children and young people.
  • To act as a main point of contact for lead professionals & agencies, providing advice, guidance and support on the early help assessment process. Including providing advice in relation to individual children as ell as coaching activities, support & training

This role is fixed term until March 2028.

This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974, and as such, appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).

Salary range
