Adult Tutor - IT/EDS (Essential Digital Skills)

About the Role:

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Digital Skills Tutor to join our Lifelong Learning team, supporting adults across Wirral to develop essential digital and IT skills.

You will deliver engaging Essential Digital Skills (EDS) and basic IT programmes in a variety of community settings, working closely with local groups to establish accessible and inclusive courses. The role involves planning high-quality teaching, monitoring learner progress, and ensuring provision meets Ofsted standards. You will also contribute to the development of the organisation’s digital skills strategy while working both independently and collaboratively with colleagues and curriculum managers.

About the Candidate:

We are looking for a dedicated and flexible tutor with a passion for adult learning and digital inclusion. You will hold a recognised teaching qualification and have experience delivering IT or digital skills training to adult learners with a wide range of abilities.

You will understand the impact of digital inequality and be confident adapting your teaching to meet diverse needs within community settings. Strong organisational skills, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to continuous professional development are essential. Above all, you will be passionate about helping others build confidence and improve their opportunities through digital learning.
