We are looking for a qualified Fire Risk Assessor to help deliver our building safety programme across Sheffield City Council’s housing portfolio. This is a great opportunity to use your expertise to make a real difference for residents by carrying out Type 1 fire risk assessments, producing clear reports and helping services prioritise improvements.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out Type 1 fire risk assessments across housing properties
- Produce clear reports with recommendations, priorities and costings
- Provide practical advice to Housing services on reducing risk
- Manage site visits and report completion to agreed timescales
What we’re looking for
- NEBOSH Fire Safety and Risk Assessor qualification or equivalent
- Professional registration, such as IFSM
- At least 2 years’ experience carrying out Type 1 fire risk assessments
- Experience of working with local authorities, housing, fire and rescue, or similar public sector settings
- Strong report-writing, communication and organisational skills
