An opportunity has arisen in our team for a Bilingual Learning Assistant who speaks Spanish. This is a busy, sometimes challenging role, perfect for someone who wants to make a difference to children's lives and enjoys working as part of a culturally diverse team. The serviceEMAS are a team of Bilingual Learning Assistants, Bilingual Support Officers and Advisers working with the Education team. We work in partnership with schools to meet the needs of bilingual learners and ethnic minority pupils at risk of under-achievement. We support pupils across both primary and secondary age phases, as well as in nursery settings. The RoleYou will provide a support service complementary to teaching activities, primarily through first language or bilingual communication, acting as a classroom assistant and supporting the language and learning needs of pupils, particularly in their access to the national curriculum. You will support the class/subject teacher or EMAS adviser in providing a stress-free 'settling-in' period for new entrants, recent arrivals or returnees from extended stays in country of origin. The Role
The Falkland Islands Government Air Service provides an essential inter-island passenger and freight service as well as aerial surveillance of the fishery conservation zone around the islands.
A Licensed Aircraft Engineer is required to join the small maintenance team responsible for the continuous maintenance of the fleet of five BN Islander aircraft. This involves routine and remedial maintenance, repairs and rectification of the aircraft and its associated systems.
The Person
Applicants must hold an EASA Part 66 Aircraft Maintenance Engineers Licence with preferably at least 4 years’ experience, Type Rated on BN2B Islander aircraft, and Lycoming 0-540 Engines. Additionally, the applicant must have a minimum of 6 months experience on Islander aircraft logged during the preceding two years.&nbsp; Full details of the essential and desirable requirements for the post are outlined in the application pack.

Sefton Council’s Welfare Rights Service is recruiting a Welfare Rights advisor to work as part of the Welfare Rights Team. The role will include supporting vulnerable people to overcome benefit issues from advising about the appropriateness of claiming benefits through to presenting at appeal tribunals. The role will work collaboratively with colleagues in other departments and organisations to support clients with expert welfare benefit advice in often complex cases.&nbsp;
We are looking for someone with significant experience of Benefit Advice work, ideally including representing at appeal tribunals, and an excellent knowledge of the full range of benefits legislation and case law. We require you to have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to independently manage and progress a case load.
You will need strong interpersonal skills and experience working with clients suffering from health problems in a professional but empathetic manner, and the ability to respond sensitively to clients. You will be providing advice via weekly face to face advice sessions, including telephone advice line duty, email and in person in both local authority and partner organisation venues.
You will be expected to work as part of the welfare rights team and to work independently meeting the needs of clients, and have the support of an experienced Team and Team Manager.
You may be required to work a flexible work pattern including evenings and weekends across the borough.

We are looking to attract an ambitious qualified accountant, or someone in the last year of their studies who wants to develop further their technical accounting skills in a vibrant team.&nbsp; We are able to offer a flexible working pattern where you can work remotely for most of the time, with occasional attendance in central Reading of around 2 days a month subject to the needs of the Service.
As a Financial Accountant, your primary responsibility will be to manage capital accounting and the fixed assets register alongside supporting the production of the annual statement of accounts.&nbsp; &nbsp;You will be working with finance colleagues to ensure the Council can deliver accurate and timely financial information and ensure a robust general ledger control environment is maintained.

About the role
This role is one of three financial accountants that supports the Deputy Chief Accountant in preparing the annual statement of accounts and liaising with external auditors. We are looking for a candidate to become a subject matter expert in capital accounting and be able to support the wider responsibilities of the team with General Ledger Controls and Technical Accounting Code Compliance.&nbsp;&nbsp;

About you
