    Solent Growth Partnership is a collaboration between Isle of Wight, Portsmouth City and Southampton City Councils We work collaboratively to deliver innovative business support and training solutions and help businesses across the Solent to grow, develop and succeed.

    Our services include the Growth Hub, Skills Bootcamps and many other business focused initiatives.

    Your New Role

    Are you ready to kickstart your career in marketing and administration? As our new Marketing and Administration Apprentice, you'll be at the heart of a dynamic team supporting the Solent Growth Partnership. Based at the Civic Offices in Portsmouth, with opportunities to work from home and travel across the Solent area, you'll help promote a range of business support programmes while gaining hands-on experience in administration. From managing social media platforms like LinkedIn, Twitter, and Facebook to handling enquiries and maintaining our CRM system, your work will help connect and support local businesses.

    This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills while earning a Level 3 Business Administration qualification. You’ll be involved in raising purchase orders, processing payments, and supporting the team with day-to-day operations. If you're organised, have good communication skills, including the use of social media and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you.

    What you’ll need to succeed

    Regardless of your age, previous experience or qualifications (although you must be at least 16 years of age and not in full-time education), we welcome applications from those that show potential, determination and a drive to succeed.

    You will be someone with a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and a genuine interest in working in the small business sector. You will be professional yet approachable, able to work well in a team, and confident enough to take initiative when working independently.

    You will have good organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage your time effectively. You should be comfortable using digital tools, including social media platforms, and have good English and maths skills. If you are someone who can work under pressure, is flexible in your approach, and eager to grow in a supportive environment, this could be the perfect role for you.
