The Business Operations Assistant will carry out effective front-line duties by providing high quality customer service at our receptions and carrying out general duties around the centre to maintain the learner experience whilst in centre. Accountabilities<ul>
<li>Deliver high quality "first point of contact" customer services to positively promote ACL, by efficiently handling customer enquiries and providing information, advice, and guidance (IAG).</li>
<li>Provide service and support to a wide variety of customers such as those with English as a second language, mental health needs, disabilities, and additional needs.</li>
<li>Ensuring the customer learning experience is positive by providing best possible customer services, working collaboratively with other ACL staff, and putting the learner at the heart of all we do. This will include activities such as assessment booking, face to face enrolments (full cost / non assessed subjects) and obtaining customer feedback. </li>
<li>Contribute to the security of and access to the site, this will include activities such as:</li>

Monitoring and operating CCTV equipment including cameras, radios and ancillary equipment making appropriate pro-active and reactive responses to incidents and reports from partner agencies.&nbsp; Co-operating with the emergency services and other agencies to reduce crime, the fear of crime and to maintain public safety.
The CCTV monitoring centre is also the primary out of hours contact for residents wishing to report emergency matters relating to housing repairs, homelessness, stray dogs and other matters that require a local authority response.

We are looking for 2 trainees as part of the National Lottery Heritage Fund supported, Life on the Edge Project (LotE). One Trainee will specialise in assisting with our engaging program of community activities as our Communities Trainee, with the other position specialising in assisting with our conservation work as our Conservation Trainee. &nbsp;&nbsp;LotE is aiming to create, restore and conserve important habitats on the South Devon coast, all working towards securing a future for 30 rare and threatened invertebrates. Species include Mediterranean oil beetle, Long-horned bee and the rarest bee in Britain, the Six-banded nomad bee. Our Conservation and Communities trainees will help us deliver this important work, shadowing our Conservation and Communities officers. This entry level position is aimed at progressing important skills and gaining invaluable experience in the environmental sector.
Day to day work in the two positions will be varied; the Communities Trainee can expect to assist with the broad range of project activities with local target audience groups and the general public. The Conservation Trainee will assist with specialist species surveying, assisting developing our volunteering offer and assisting nature focused events or practical engagement activities. The trainee scheme will also benefit from the wider Life on the Edge project with opportunities to be involved with broad range of project activity with other project delivery partners.
Working at landscape scale, ranging the entirety of the South Devon Coast, our LotE Trainees will have fantastic insight into the world of nature conservation whilst improving nature connectiveness and inspiring local communities about nature.
Each Trainee position will be employed on an 6 month contract at 0.5FTE (18hrs/week) by South Hams District Council, the host of South Devon National Landscape. Senior Assistant Engineer
About the role:
An opportunity has arisen, within the Traffic Network Management Team, for a Senior Assistant Engineer with a proven track record of working in a complex Network Management environment. Traffic Network Management sits within the Network Management function that is part of the Council's Highways &amp; Infrastructure service, within its Neighbourhoods directorate.
The Council is required to effectively deliver the Liverpool City Region Sustainable Transport Settlement Combined Authority Transport Plan programme, that contributes to the reduction in the number and severity of road traffic collisions, making safer journeys for pedestrians and cyclists, and improving air quality. This role is fundamental in facilitating a programme of schemes that supports the strategic objectives of the Liverpool City Region Road Safety Strategy, the Network Management Plan, and the Council Plan 2023-2027.
Your role will be critical in the support and delivery of traffic signs and road markings and assist in the technical delivery/approval of traffic engineering projects including parking restrictions, movement orders, residents parking, and traffic management schemes ensuring compliance with current design guidance and legislation. You will assist in the management of the Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) process from inception to completion including the drafting of legal TRO schedules, production of technical drawings and management of TRO records.
The role will play a significant part in ensuring that the service responds effectively to the needs of local communities and other stakeholders; excellent written and verbal communication with internal and external stakeholders is key.
About the candidate: 
You will have an HNC or equivalent in an appropriate technical discipline or equivalent qualification or experience and will have knowledge, skills and experience of the following:
Technical knowledge and professional experience of the legislation (such as Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Traffic Management Act 2004, TSRGD, Traffic Signs Manual, DMRB, etc), standards and procedures relating to the preparation, design and delivery of traffic management or traffic signals projects and programmes.
Technical knowledge and experience in negotiation and collaboration with contractors, developers, Members, public, Council colleagues, external agencies in the preparation, design and delivery of relevant infrastructure and services.
Knowledge in the use of design, drawing and cost calculation spreadsheet software for the preparation of designs, procurement documentation and 'as built' records.
Provision of technical expertise, advice, and support on behalf of the directorate on all aspects of traffic management improvement works.
Assist in the assessment of highway safety implications for the design, consultation and delivery of traffic and highway improvement schemes to help provide a safe and effective highway network.
A broad understanding of the Council's strategies and policies for delivering customer focussed outcomes on the delivery of projects and programmes. Experience in the use of CAD and other specialist analysis and design programmes.

We are seeking to appoint a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our Inclusion Team at Maghull High School. The successful candidate will be key in ensuring positive outcomes for the students who experience difficulties in one or more area of need. Our Inclusion Team staff are fulfilled by the idea of making positive changes for our young people, often acting as their advocate as they navigate their way through school.
