We are seeking an environmental health specialist with experience of commenting on planning applications from a public health perspective. A good knowledge of key areas of concern in this area with Air Quality, Environmental Noise and Contaminated Land within your remit. You will work with our Planning department across all stages of the planning process, providing advice and guidance on theenvironmental and public health impact of applications and proposed developments. You will help provide evidence and expert witness evidence for appeals, hearings and public inquiries.

The Role
The Falkland Islands Government Air Service provides an essential inter-island passenger and freight service as well as aerial surveillance of the fishery conservation zone around the islands.
A Licensed Aircraft Engineer is required to join the small maintenance team responsible for the continuous maintenance of the fleet of five BN Islander aircraft. This involves routine and remedial maintenance, repairs and rectification of the aircraft and its associated systems.
The Person
Applicants must hold an EASA Part 66 Aircraft Maintenance Engineers Licence with preferably at least 4 years’ experience, Type Rated on BN2B Islander aircraft, and Lycoming 0-540 Engines. Additionally, the applicant must have a minimum of 6 months experience on Islander aircraft logged during the preceding two years.&nbsp; Full details of the essential and desirable requirements for the post are outlined in the application pack.

The successful candidate will also be required to represent The Alliance at meetings with internal and external stakeholders i.e. service users, other Council services, clients, consultants, contractors and other working groups therefore strong advocacy, interpersonal and communication skills are essential for this role.
This position will primarily focus on the Staffordshire Moorlands area; however, the successful candidate will also play an important role in supporting work across both Staffordshire Moorlands and High Peak as part of The Alliance.

The role&nbsp; The Private Sector Housing Team plays a vital role in improving the conditions and management of privately rented homes within our district. &nbsp;With the coming into force of the Renters Rights act, the team has to perform new duties including dealing with harassment and illegal eviction and new tenancy rules enforcement. &nbsp; Responding to complaints from tenants and/or referrals from other housing professionals you will undertake inspections and investigations across the local area, advise landlords and tenants of their rights, obligations and duties, and take enforcement and prosecution action where appropriate.&nbsp; Your duties may also include general private sector housing enforcement using the Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS), processing HMO licensing applications, and dealing with Empty Homes as and when required.
About You You will need to be qualified and experienced in dealing with environmental health or housing matters and have a sound working knowledge of the relevant Housing legislation regarding harassment, illegal eviction and landlord/tenant disputes.&nbsp;
You will need experience of directly intervening and successfully supporting tenants suffering from harassment &amp; illegal eviction and detailed knowledge and application of landlord &amp; tenant law. Relevant experience and qualifications in investigatory practice, preparing prosecution files and attending court/tribunals would be an advantage.&nbsp;
You will be customer focused, with good communication and interpersonal skills, and have the ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team. We are looking to appoint an experienced Site Manager who will work alongside our existing site staff to undertake all the usual aspects of school site management in order to ensure our school is clean, secure and compliant at all times, whilst responding to the ever-changing priorities during the school day.
This may suit an existing School Site Manager looking for progression or someone who has worked within a similar site management role looking for a change of direction.

About the Role: Whiston Town Council is seeking a committed and professional individual to join us as Deputy Town Clerk. This important role is the cornerstone of our Council’s governance, acting as Deputy Proper Officer and Deputy Responsible Financial Officer (RFO). The successful candidate will work alongside the current Town Clerk.
You will be responsible for managing Council meetings, advising councillors, overseeing financial management. Manage Staff and buildings and deliver services that benefit our community.
