Museum Services Manager (P00800) Starting salary £41,992pa with progression to £45,089pa through annual increments subject to satisfactory service 37 hours per week (rota) We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Museum Manager to drive forward the Welwyn Hatfield Museum Service. This busy service runs two heritage sites; Mill Green Museum and Mill with a working watermill and social history museum and Welwyn Roman Baths, a Scheduled monument, the remains of a 3rd century Anglo/Roman bathing suite, ingeniously preserved under the A1(M) motorway. As Museum Manager you will oversee the day-to-day operations of both sites and work closely with our dedicated team of staff and volunteers to promote and preserve the facilities ensuring a high standard of service, changing exhibitions and an events programme. You will be part of the rota system covering the evening operating hours of the museum. The Brokering Team within Adult Social Care is looking to recruit a Brokering Officer. The Brokering Team is a very busy and crucial team that sits within the Contract and Monitoring Team.
The role is responsible for placing service users within appropriate care services, to ensure that care services are effectively vetted, ensuring service users are placed in a safe, quality environment that is cost effective.
The Brokering Officer is also required to liaise with relevant key stakeholders e.g. care homes, families and senior managers, regarding Third Party contributions.
As this is a very busy role the post holder will be required to be able to work under pressure, have excellent time management and organisational skills.

The Infrastructure Services section is looking for an Engineer to join our multi-disciplinary team to support in the delivery of the Council’s sustainable drainage functions.
The successful candidate will be responsible for management of the day-to-day sustainable drainage systems (SuD’s) inspections, provide technical support and guidance to developers and other members of the team, administration of inspection fees, upkeep of spreadsheets recording the payments and SAB Inspections, ensure SuD’s are constructed, adopted, and maintained in accordance with the legislative requirements.

<li>Management of the day-to-day SuD’s inspections, adoption, enforcement and appeals in relation to SuD’s.</li>
<li>Provide technical advice in relation to surface water, sustainable drainage and measures to mitigate flood risk in respect of drafting relevant sections of legal agreements, planning enforcement, validation, planning policy and where required by other departments in the carrying out of the Council’s functions, meeting relevant deadlines and performance targets.</li>
<li>Attend committee meetings, working groups and external meetings associated with the development management function as may be required – which may be outside normal working hours.</li>
<li>Work effectively and negotiate with developers to secure high quality SuD’s schemes across the Borough.</li>
<li>From time to time the successful candidate will also assist in delivering statutory duties of the Built Environment team.</li>
</ul>

About the Role:
Our Public Health Consultants have a key role in health and wellbeing partnership arrangements, and we are therefore seeking a leader who can inspire and engage others to improve public health outcomes. This post-holder will work closely with colleagues in Adult Social Care to take a Public Health lens and Healthcare Public Health approach to addressing some of the current challenges facing Adult Social Care.
We are looking for candidates who have a broad range of public health knowledge and skills and can provide strong public health leadership, specialist advice and support to a range of public health priorities. The primary focus of this role will be to develop and lead an innovative programme of work to better understand the rising trend in demand for adult social care services and establish what might be done to lessen the impact of this over the short, medium and longer term.

Whilst not essential, experience of working in a local authority setting, shaping, and leading public health initiatives in a political environment is desirable.&nbsp; Adaptability and focus on delivery are critical features of this position.&nbsp;
You will provide expert public health advice and leadership to inform an evidence-based approach for commissioning and to ensure high quality equitable services, across public health, the wider council and with our health and community partners.
We are strongly committed to the development of our public health team and as a training location, you will be required to contribute to and support training programmes for Foundation Year Doctors/Specialty Registrars in Public Health, and for the training of other trainees and professionals within the locality.&nbsp;

To work as a member of the Family First Service delivering targeted and co-ordinated interventions to families with children 0-18 years displaying a range of complex, interacting needs. These will include effective parenting skills, relationship breakdown, family dynamics, emotional health and well-being, sexual health and self-esteem. Families will be supported to achieve better outcomes including improved school attendance and tackle issues such as truancy and exclusion, reduce risk-taking behaviour including crime, anti-social behaviour and improve employability.
Family First Case Managers will adopt a multi-disciplinary approach to working with families and will have a good working knowledge of services and interventions that are available across the partnership to support families.
Family First Case Managers will undertake holistic, Early Help assessments in partnership with families, and will act in a Lead Professional capacity to personally develop an outcome focused family plan and co-ordinate the delivery and reviews of this plan. This will include personally delivering a range of supportive and practical interventions, co-ordinating the multi-agency Team Around the Family processes through the Signs of Safety/Wellbeing Model and delivering other evidence-based programmes and approaches such as parenting programmes, child development, Child Sexual and Criminal Exploitation considering a Contextual Safeguarding approach, and other issue-based programmes across the 0-18 age range. Delivery of the family plan may also include the co-ordination of other services interaction with the family and procurement of other relevant, specialist interventions.
Case Managers will assist in the development and delivery of new and innovative prevention and early intervention programmes within Knowsley delivered to young people and parents through individual sessions or in group settings. Case Managers will also be expected to participate in practice improvement activities to support the development of the service and may be asked to lead on thematic activities.

The Duty Service is currently looking for permanent Social Worker and fixed term Social Worker (minimum 12 month contract) and
The Duty Teams structure consist of 4 Duty teams, each with 6 Social Workers, one Assistant Team Manager and one Team Manager.
Duty will receive referrals screened in the MASH and will work closely with MASH colleagues ensuring the right referrals are received into duty for a timely response for children and young people who are deemed to be at significant risk or require assessment of need due to serious concerns for their wellbeing arising from concerns of emotional, physical, sexual or significant neglect issues. 
You will be provided with regular support and supervision by your team manager and practice standards will be strongly driven and influenced with the support of your Assistant Team Manager. You will be expected to undertake timely assessments to a high standard and ensure care planning for children is the best it can be.
The Head of Service is passionate and driven in terms of developing practice and learning opportunities and you will support this aim by delivering to the practice standards set by the Principle Social Worker and Senior Management team to support the improvement journey and improving outcomes for children and their families. 
This is a time of real opportunity for new developments which will benefit from your ideas and initiative. 
You will be responsible for a caseload and be expected to work in partnership with a range of other professionals and have the skills and experience of leading and chairing meetings, leading section 47 investigations and managing children subject to child in need plans or considering whether children require child protection plans or indeed legal intervention in order to keep them safe.
