About the role:
Horsham District Council is looking for an Information Security Officer to join our Customer and Digital Services team, to develop and support the Information Assets Registers, Security Policies, security training and to promote and provide advice and guidance on the security of applications, systems and networked devices.
As Information Security Officer you will be involved in leading and managing all aspects of Information Security Policy development, monitoring and compliance. In this role, you will liaise with the Council’s Data Protection Officer (DPO) and Information Governance Officer regarding the use of and security of information and data assets. The role will also involve ensuring delivery in terms of both Councils’ objectives, Digital and Technology Strategy and appropriate security and statutory standards and guidelines.
About you:
To succeed as Information Security Officer, you will have experience and knowledge of Cyber and Information Security compliance and how to apply this to IT systems and applications.&nbsp;&nbsp;The ability to communicate, both written and verbally, and educate stakeholders in Cyber Security is essential. You will be able to work with members of the Customer and Digital Services team in the procurement, management and integrations of systems and applications to ensure security.&nbsp;&nbsp;As an Information Security Officer, you will also have the ability to advise on IT Security compliance relevant to Horsham District Council and develop the appropriate policies and procedures.

What you’ll be doing:

Who are we?
Hawley Woods School provides a specialist environment and support primarily for autistic children and those needing a similarly adapted approach with small classes of 6-8 pupils within our calm, nurturing setting. Our school caters for children from the age of 7 up to 16 years (Key Stages 2, 3 and 4).

About this important role
Our&nbsp;Voluntary Pantry Delivery Driver&nbsp;will safely drive between food collection points and St Giles Pantry sites across London, loading the vehicle with food in line with food safety and manual handling regulations.&nbsp; You will ensure your vehicle is checked for safety and cleanliness before each shift, report any incidents with management and calmly react to changing scenarios, such as traffic, while always being polite and courteous to other volunteers who may be accompanying deliveries.&nbsp;&nbsp;
On the road, and at the Pantries, you will be representing St Giles and so you will drive safely, responsibly and within the law and be courteous to all road users, staff, volunteers and members. &nbsp;At all times you will ensure that you are following St Giles’ health and safety policy and food safety standards protocols to consistently ensure safe collection and delivery of food is maintained.
What we are looking for
<ul>
<li>A full and valid driving licence (due to insurance requirements, this role is only open to applicants of 25 years of age or older)</li>
<li>You must be physically fit to be able to manually load heavy items into a van</li>
<li>Experience of working in a similar van delivery role, preferably in food distribution and use of chilled vehicles</li>
<li>Food safety and hygiene qualification or willingness to work towards one</li>
<li>Problem-solving skills and the ability to make effective decisions ‘on the spot’</li>
<li>Good interpersonal and communication skills</li>
<li>An awareness of safety issues especially when driving, loading and unloading vehicles.</li>

About You
We’re looking for someone who has:

<li>Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines</li>
<li>Good communication skills, both written and verbal</li>
<li>A positive attitude towards customer service and working in a public-facing environment</li>
<li>An interest in electoral processes and willingness to undertake relevant training (e.g. AEA Certificate)</li>
<li>Knowledge of electoral registration legislation or previous experience in election administration would be an advantage but is not essential.</li>

About the Role:
We are currently recruiting for a Food Safety Support Officer to provide dedicated administrative and basic technical support to the Food team within the Environmental Health service. &nbsp;This role is offered as a 12 month fixed term position.
Some duties include: • &nbsp; &nbsp;Data entry, scanning and indexing documents to record the findings of inspections and interventions. • &nbsp; &nbsp;Supporting the maintenance of accurate case and premises file records. • &nbsp; &nbsp;Processing new food business registrations. • &nbsp; &nbsp;Supporting with simple service requests, including the provision of basic advice and signposting to customers and assisting with the management of the food team email account.
