Band D 20.00 Working Hours – 39 Weeks per Year
Fender Primary School and Ganey’s Meadow School and Family Centre are seeking to appoint a joint part time caretaker for our popular, inclusive and thriving schools which share a site. Both schools are well regarded by the local community and are located on the Woodchurch Estate. As our morning Caretaker, your role and duties (including security, routine repair work, maintenance, and compliance) will be split evenly between the two schools. This role is a permanent part-time position following the retirement of our previous caretaker and you will be working under the guidance of our full time Site Manager.
The ideal candidate will: Demonstrate a commitment to working with the Site Manager to ensure our schools are always the best they can be. Be hardworking and flexible with a can-do attitude. Have the capacity to problem solve in a calm and professional manner and a willingness to learn new skills. Be able to identify and prioritise tasks. Have a good standard of DIY skills in joinery, plumbing, painting and general maintenance. Have an awareness of health and safety requirements. Be a team player and have good communication and interpersonal skills. Understand the importance of confidentiality and following safeguarding and other policies.

We are looking to appoint an experienced Site Manager who will work alongside our existing site staff to undertake all the usual aspects of school site management in order to ensure our school is clean, secure and compliant at all times, whilst responding to the ever-changing priorities during the school day.
This may suit an existing School Site Manager looking for progression or someone who has worked within a similar site management role looking for a change of direction.
Working as part of this important team, you will be required to carry out the duties detailed in the attached job description to the highest possible standard.
You will line manage the Cleaning Supervisor and support wider site activity.

Cook – 30 hours per week
We’re looking for a Cook to support an existing small team of cooks providing meals across Willowtree, which is a residential service for young people with complex learning and physical disabilities.
The successful candidate will support other cooks with menu planning, food ordering and portion control whilst ensuring that all food safety and Health and Safety Regulations are adhered to.
An understanding and experience of food preparation including to meet special dietary needs is essential.
