Stanley School is dedicated to providing exceptional education to pupils aged between 3-11 with a range of complex needs including autism, sensory processing disorders, PMLD and severe learning difficulties. With a strong ethos of inclusion and understanding, we cater for a unique group of 185 pupils, each with their own journey. We believe in nurturing every child to reach their full potential. Due to our continued growth, we are looking to expand our team and are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant Level 3 to join our team.

As a TA3 at Stanley School, you will work under the guidance of teaching and senior staff to deliver high-quality support to individuals and groups of pupils both in and out of the classroom. This includes leading planned learning sessions and contributing to the development of learning resources and strategies.

Key Responsibilities are:

Support the learning and development of pupils by delivering tailored interventions and encouraging independence.

Assist with the preparation and implementation of learning plans, closely monitoring pupil progress.

Use specialist knowledge and strategies to engage pupils with a range of needs.

Supervise whole classes occasionally, maintaining the smooth running of the room and keeping pupils engaged.

Promote independence and support personal care needs with dignity and respect.

Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists and other professionals.

Help create a safe, stimulating and supportive learning environment.

We are looking for someone who is:

Qualified to NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Supporting Teaching and Learning.

Experienced in working with children with complex SEN.

Calm, patient and resilient, with the ability to adapt to changing needs.

Committed to upholding the core values of our school and strong culture of safeguarding.

Skilled in using IT to enhance learning.

A proactive and positive team player who is keen to learn and grow.

Desirable: Experience with PMLD, complex medical needs, or challenging behaviours is a strong advantage.
