The appointment will be for a Contextual Safeguarding Practitioner to join the new Contextual Safeguarding &amp; Housing Pathway Team to support positive outcomes for children, typically adolescents who are affected by extra familial harm, the criminal justice and care systems.The service is committed to prevent offending, reduce re-offending, and safeguard children from intra and extra familial harm. About the Role:
The role of the Occupational Therapy Assistant will be to:
•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Promote and maintain independence for vulnerable and disabled service users, focusing on the assessment for, and provision of, equipment and adaptations.
•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Assess the functional needs of service users and their careers in line with relevant legislation and departmental policy.
•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Assess and write recommendations for simple major adaptations such as level access showers and stairlifts
