Job Introduction

Lead with purpose. Serve with compassion. Improve lives every day.

Are you an experienced care leader looking for a role where you can make a real difference.

Do you want to use your skills in a role where your values are shared, your voice is heard, and quality of care comes first?

Join us as an Assistant Manager and help lead high-quality Day Opportunities services that support adults with learning disabilities, complex needs, physical disabilities, and older people living with dementia to live safely, independently and with purpose.

We have two fantastic full time opportunities to step into a leadership role where you will support the Service Manager in delivering high-quality, person-centred day services for people with learning disabilities, older adults, and those with physical disabilities.

We have a permanent and a temporary role for 6 months but in both roles, you will lead and develop a team, ensure services meet individual needs, and play a key role in shaping future service provision.

You will also deputise for the Service Manager when required, ensuring effective day-to-day operations and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Service Manager in overseeing day service provision.
  • Lead and develop Day Service Co-ordinators and Support Workers.
  • Ensure services are safe, responsible and person centred.
  • Monitor service quality through audits and feedback.
  • Build positive relationships with service users, families, and partners.
  • Support service development and improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health & safety, and policy requirements.
  • Contribute to staff recruitment, training, and performance management.

About You

You will be passionate about making a difference and ready to lead. You will bring experience of working with adults with learning disabilities, older people, or physical disabilities, along with strong leadership and communication skills. You will have a solid understanding of safeguarding, health & safety, and risk management, and be committed to continuous improvement.

A Level 4 Diploma in Adult Care (or equivalent) or willing to work towards this qualification is essential.

Why Apply?

  • Take the next step into a leadership role.
  • Influence and shape service delivery.
  • Work within a supportive management team.
  • Make a meaningful difference to people’s lives.
