We work with the families by following the MST-CAN model, aiming to significantly reduce risk so that children can remain safely at home.</p>\n<p>You must therefore have the skills to work with both children and adults facing multiple and complex difficulties, and the tenacity to continue to work with families despite being faced with reluctant engagement or typical trauma responses.  You must also be open to entering homes where there can be significant levels of neglect</p>\n<p>You will play an important part in service delivery, helping families to overcome practical barriers such as housing and debt so they can access the MST-CAN intervention.  You will be directed tasks by the Therapists, but must also have the initiative to follow through pieces of work independently whilst communicating updates appropriately to the Therapist and Supervisor via weekly paperwork and clinical supervision.</p>\n<p>You will develop links with other local agencies to ensure a systemic support network for families and be able to work in a flexible way; this will include occasional evening and weekend working.
