You will investigate complaints, apply housing standards and take enforcement action to make properties safe and healthy. You will assist in the delivery of grants and financial assistance to adapt and repair properties, and energy efficiency initiatives to achieve low carbon and warm homes. Help us shape local democracy. Are you interested in local issues? Do you enjoy administration and making sure the correct procedures are followed? We’re looking for a proactive, confident and calm individual with a high level of tact and discretion to work in our Democratic Services Team. You’ll be creating agendas, writing minutes and organising the workloads of some of our committees, so you’ll need to be highly organised, adaptable and interested in local community issues. We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Customer Services Advisor to join our team based at Tonbridge Castle.&nbsp;
Reporting to the Tonbridge Castle, Events &amp; Customer Services Manager, you will undertake a customer facing role supporting our telephony service to residents providing excellent multi skilled customer service across all access channels as well as Tonbridge Tourist Information Centre, Castle Attraction and Conference Centre.
Educated to GCSE grade C standard or above in maths and English (or equivalent), you will have previous experience of providing a customer focussed, front-line, public enquiry service. &nbsp;You will be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel, and demonstrate confident IT skills.
There is a lot to learn, so you must be prepared to assimilate and retain a large amount of information quickly and demonstrate a “can-do” approach to your work. &nbsp;In return we will give you excellent ongoing training and support.
This is a part time vacancy, and our offices are open seven days a week.&nbsp;
This role requires a Basic DBS check which will be obtained by The Council as part of your pre-employment checks.&nbsp;

We’re looking for a motivated Estates Surveyor to help manage and optimise the Council’s diverse property portfolio—supporting day‑to‑day operations and longer‑term strategy so assets deliver strong financial and operational performance in line with TWBC’s Corporate Objectives and Asset Management Plan.
