About the role:
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced property professional to lead across a wide range of asset management functions. The post holder will be responsible for monitoring, reviewing and managing performance of our property management function, asset management, markets, school contracts, community asset transfer and strategy function.&nbsp;

As part of a team of Commercial Estate Surveyors and Project Managers this role supports the strategic management of the council’s extensive commercial, agricultural, seafront and operational portfolios to meet council priorities and optimise income. Working with external consultants and in house teams we will rely on your professional expertise and knowledge as well as your communication and problem solving skills to optimise the portfolios' performance. Fixed term for: 24 months&nbsp;

<h2>About the role</h2>We are looking to recruit a Senior Commercial Property Estates Surveyor on a 2 year contract to manage and execute the councils disposal strategy. As part of the council’s Capital Asset Strategy, you will be responsible for identifying and managing disposals to provide capital receipts to the value of £20 million to support the council’s financial position.&nbsp;In cooperation with our external agents and other council departments, you will be responsible for achieving best value of our property assets whilst also identifying development opportunities and improving performance of our property portfolio. &nbsp;&nbsp;In addition, the role will provide strategic property advice across all council services, assisting with delivery plans that require proactive asset management of operational buildings.The role offers a&nbsp;genuinely varied, interesting&nbsp;and diverse workload, working with colleagues and consultants to deliver effective management of the portfolios, to meet the aims of the Corporate Asset Plan and support the local economy and community.As the successful candidate you will have experience of communicating and influencing at a senior level to manage strategically and creatively the council’s extensive commercial property portfolio, to ensure the council’s land and building assets are delivering the best outcomes for the city and its residents.There's a lot to do, and we need someone who is passionate about making change happen, is comfortable working in a complex political environment, has a proven track record of property disposals and strategic property management. &nbsp;You will have a RICS membership and an enthusiasm for the role of property in fulfilling wider strategic aims.&nbsp;If this is you then we would love to hear from you. Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is less than 37 hours&nbsp;or term-time only.

Senior Estates Surveyor - Disposals

As Project Manager you will own and deliver a series of projects, identifying our customers requirements and building business cases for presentation at a senior level. The role will require the sourcing and acquisition of new accommodation and will mean delivering the associated and relocations. You will be an experienced project manager with a successful track record of delivery. Ideally you will have experience of managing complex building or office moves. You will be working closely with customers to ensure their needs are met and be able to demonstrate great organisational and people skills. You will be able to demonstrate experience of negotiating with a number of suppliers.
