ABOUT YOU – Applicants need direct experience working with Children and families to be shortlisted&nbsp; We are seeking Contact Supervisors to oversee and support contact sessions for children and families involved in proceedings. The ideal candidate will possess strong safeguarding knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism. You will be responsible for supervising and facilitating contact between children and their families, ensuring that sessions are safe, positive, and in line with legal and welfare guidelines.&nbsp; The role requires a strong understanding of child protection procedures, the ability to manage challenging behaviours, and a commitment to promoting the well-being of children. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, proactive, and able to maintain clear and accurate records while working collaboratively with social workers, families, and legal professionals to support the best outcomes for children and families in proceedings. Candidate must be able to offer up to 20 hours a week and be available to work across Monday – Saturday 10 - 6pm. As part of the UK’s Resource and Waste Strategy 2018, the ambition was set to hit 65% municipal recycling by 2035. To aid this, in 2023 the Department for Environment, Food &amp; Rural Affairs (DEFRA) introduced Simpler Recycling with the aim of removing confusion around what can and cannot be recycled. As it stands today, Ashfield District Council (ADC)&nbsp;is at 41% waste recycled, with the potential to beat 65% by 2030.&nbsp;
There are a number of transformational projects underway linked to this within the department.&nbsp;&nbsp; Along with this it is the aim of the authority to develop opportunities and improve performance within its Environmental Services such as grass cutting, weed spraying, play areas, sport pitch bookings etc
We are looking for an experienced forward-thinking individual who is enthusiastic about developing business opportunities, and improving performance within Neighbourhood Services. This individual will also be responsible for providing effective administrative support via their team for the Service Managers within Neighbourhood Services to enable performance efficiency and improvements. This individual will be key to creating a dynamic data-driven and customer focused service, developing business opportunities and supporting the implementation of Simpler Recycling and wider Neighbourhoods transformation.
Ideally this person will bring new ideas on how the service administrative procedures can be improved and updated and bring in modern practices and technological ideas.
