About the Role
As&nbsp;Families First Project Manager, you will be a key member of the Business and Change team and will provide project management support to the Families First senior responsible officer of the programme to achieve agreed targets, outcomes, and objectives, including impact measurement and evaluation.
Lead the delivery of the Families First programme by managing its structure, scheduling programme boards and workstreams and co-ordinating actions within the families first delivery plan.
To guide and support the team on programme and project management, business intelligence, needs analysis, and gap analysis to inform service planning, strategic decision-making, and delivery of specific project objectives.
Job Context:

<li>Take ownership of the project, using initiative to drive progress and resolve challenges.</li>
<li>To line manage staff, carryout supervisions and follow the correct processes and procedures</li>
<li>Confident in leading programme governance, including organising boards and workstreams.</li>
<li>Comfortable managing competing priorities and ensuring timely delivery of actions.</li>
<li>Able to collaborate effectively across teams and influence stakeholders to achieve outcomes.</li>
<li>To support the continuous improvement of services within the Families First Programme and children’s services.</li>
<li>To support the current transformation programme within Childrens Services to develop the way we work with families and/or partners across the Island team.</li>
<li>To manage the workstreams within the programme and ensure adequate controls and governance are in place to ensure they are delivered to plan and specification. Monitor and manage progress, change, risks, issues and provide regular and objective reports on their performance and escalate/action as required.</li>
<li>To aid the implementation and management of frameworks for risk management, project management, programme management and continuous improvement.</li>
<li>To provide specialist resource in project management either in assisting in the initiation of projects or to manage projects. To provide advice to the team on project management matters including appropriate documentation and governance/control.</li>
<li>To understand and have the ability to report on the current and expected future progress&nbsp;of the Families First Programme and other related projects.</li>

What you will be doing:

A typical day for you could include:

<li>Delivering major housing projects—from external refurbishments to kitchen and bathroom upgrades, disabled adaptations, and retrofit schemes.</li>
<li>Keeping projects on track—managing timelines, budgets, and quality standards.</li>
<li>Liaising with contractors, legal teams, compliance officers, and internal departments to ensure efficient and compliant project delivery.</li>
<li>Carrying out site inspections—monitoring contractor performance and resolving any issues.</li>
<li>Engaging with customers—keeping them informed and ensuring minimal disruption during works.</li>
</ul>
You will play a key role in delivering safe, comfortable, affordable, and sustainable homes for our customers. You will be actively supported to network with other social housing providers and construction professionals.
About You:

We are looking for someone who can hit the ground running, who is self-motivated with a “can do” attitude.
Essential requirements for this role include:
<ul>
<li>Experience managing projects in housing, construction, or a related field.</li>
<li>Knowledge and experience of working within an environment delivering planned maintenance and upgrade works.</li>
<li>A strong understanding of building compliance and safety (fire safety, gas, electrical, asbestos, damp &amp; mould, etc.).</li>
<li>Strong problem-solving skills – you’ll be making decisions and keeping projects moving.</li>
<li>Good communication and IT skills – you’ll be recording and reporting key project details.</li>
<li>A minimum of HNC Level or equivalent qualification in a Construction or Building related subject.</li>
<li>GCSE’s in Mathematics and English at Grade C or above or equivalent vocational or academic experience.</li>
</ul>
