Our Team:

We are a committed Permit & Enforcement team responsible for managing streetworks, licensing, and compliance across Halton’s highway network. The team works closely with internal departments, contractors, statutory undertakers, and regional partners to coordinate works effectively, minimise disruption, and keep the network moving. With a strong focus on collaboration, customer service, and continuous improvement, the team plays a vital role in maintaining safe, efficient highways for residents, businesses, and visitors.

Hours: 37 per week Monday – Friday flexible working with possible weekend work on a rota system,

Your Contributions:

You will have 5 GCSEs including English and Maths or equivalent and hold a current NRSWA accreditation

In addition you will have

  • Hold current NRSWA accreditation.
  • Experience of team working, customer service, stakeholder engagement, street works, and preparing basic financial reports.
  • Knowledge of the New Roads and Street Works Act (NRSWA) and street works enforcement processes.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office, with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, research and collate information, manage workloads effectively, and meet deadlines.

As this role involves regular travel across the borough and sometimes further afield, a driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential requirements. Where appropriate, reasonable adjustments will be made in accordance with the provisions of the Equality Act.
