You will play a key part in supporting the operation and optimisation of Reading’s Urban Traffic Management &amp; Control (UTMC) systems, including technologies like SCOOT, MOVA and Variable Message Signs (VMS) As a Traffic Signals &amp; ITS Technician you will assist with traffic signal controller testing, site acceptance testing, and the modelling of complex junctions to improve traffic flow. Service Innovation: Lead the design and implementation of new service models, working collaboratively with stakeholders to meet emerging needs.</li>

Quality and Performance: Monitor and evaluate the performance of providers, driving improvements and ensuring compliance with regulatory and safeguarding standards.</li>

Procurement and Contract Management: Support the commissioning process, including procurement and contract management, ensuring value for money and alignment with strategic objectives.</li>
</ul>

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and attributes:

<li>Experience of commissioning/procuring services in the context of children's social care or SEND&nbsp;</li>

<li>Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions</li>
<li>Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills</li>
<li>Effective communication skills, both written and verbal</li>
