About the Role
The Liverpool City Region Combined Authority is recruiting for a highly experienced Events Manager. You will lead a diverse, high‑profile programme of corporate and city region events—ranging from conferences, international summits and ministerial visits to cultural moments, launches and project milestones. You will own end‑to‑end delivery: setting objectives, shaping concepts, building timelines, managing budgets and ensuring each event reflects our brand, values and mission.
This role will report to the Head of Corporate Affairs and will manage an Events Officer and co-ordinate multi-disciplinary colleagues across multiple concurrent events.
Key responsibilities will include event planning &amp; delivery, corporate affairs integration, venues and logistics, programmes and content, supplier management, promotion and marketing, on site leadership, promotion and marketing of core events, evaluation and insight to measure ROI and inform continuous improvement.
 About the person
We’re looking for someone with relevant qualification in public relations, events or engagement or equivalent professional experience. A proven track record in planning and delivering complex events in a local authority, public sector or corporate setting. You’re a collaborative stakeholder able to build relationships across senior internal and external audiences.
With supplier and budget management experience you are extremely confident and negotiating contracts and ensuring value for money. You’ll excel when it comes to attention to detail and be highly astute at multi-tasking multiple workstreams simultaneously. All fully complemented by data collection techniques and performance measurement inform decision making and evaluate impact.

You will be based at any one of our Area Housing Offices working as part of a Repairs team. You will carry out a wide range of duties across our varied 15,000 housing stock, together with our asset portfolio of corporate operational, commercial and community assets including schools. You will predominantly be attending day to day repairs, updating stock data, evaluating and diagnosing what work is required, assessing the best options to carry out the work and issuing response repairs. Skills: You need to: 1. Be able to demonstrate sufficient relevant experience and knowledge of general day to day response repairs in a housing or commercial environment. 2. Have good building construction technology and building pathology knowledge together with the ability to evaluate and diagnose what work is required, assess the best options to carry out the work and issuing response repairs and advising others. 3. Have a knowledge of building related legislation as appropriate to the role and be able to apply as necessary. 4. Have knowledge and experience of construction related health &amp; safety legislation knowledge generally and be able to apply specifically the working at height regulations, and Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012. 5. Practical surveying skills that can be demonstrated; specifically, be able to carry out stock data and measured surveys, accurately recording stock data as appropriate. 6. Demonstrating you can manage a contractor using a contract, negotiating contractual matters and resolution of disputes with contractors. 7. We are looking for loaders for our refuse collection service working out of our Ivybridge Depot. Waste and recycling experience is great, but enthusiasm counts for a lot so don’t be put off.

Responsibility for landlord and tenant activities (including rent reviews, lease renewals and lease regears), project work, strategic consultancy, professional estates advice to colleagues and other stakeholders, estate, asset and property management. What You Will Do

The Council’s Street Care Service is responsible for the cleanliness of the Borough of Chelmsford. This is a wide ranging Service geared toward improving the quality of the environment by improving litter standards, removing the nuisance created by fly-tipping, graffiti and fly-posting and improving feelings of safety and security to create a sense&nbsp;of care and respect for the place in which people live, work and visit.
A key role in these activities is the operation of our fleet of mechanised road sweepers which are responsible for dealing with over 1300km of roadways. We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to play a key role in helping us ensure that the infrastructure of the borough that the Council is responsible for, is kept to the best standard possible.
Based at our Freighter House depot in Springfield, the post holder would normally be expected to work the following hours at 37 hours per week: Monday to Thursday 06:00am – 2:00pm, Friday 06:00am to 1:30pm

Service Manager for the Independent Reviewing Team Grade 11- Grade 11- £66378- £73602pa The post holder will be the operational lead for the delivery of statutory Independent Reviewing Officer Service ensuring they undertake their responsibility to monitor and improve the quality of social work practice in line with current legislation, guidance and good practice. The post holder will be the operational lead for the delivery of statutory Independent Reviewing Officer Service ensuring they undertake their responsibility to monitor and improve the quality of social work practice in line with current legislation, guidance and good practice.&nbsp; <ul><li>Ensure compliance with the statutory duties for the delivery of child protection, Child in Need, and Child in Care reviews.&nbsp;</li> <li>Provides strategic oversight, support and advice to operational services within the Starting Well Department Children’s social care in line with national guidance.</li> <li>Leads a robust child-focused service that contributes to keeping children in Havering safe and achieves improved outcomes by promoting high standards of practice in planning and reviewing arrangements for the protection and care of children. Implements, delivers and monitors practice under the Quality Assurance Framework (QAF) providing challenge and embedding practice improvements to ensure positive outcomes. This will include undertaking audits as necessary.&nbsp;</li> <li>Ensures compliance with relevant management information requirements for all national and local performance indicators and to establish plans to improve performance where required. This will include tracking team performance, weekly performance data and analysis and producing assurance reports for the Senior Management Team as delegated by the Head of Service for Practice or other senior leaders as required.&nbsp;</li> </ul> About You The successful candidate will be a confident and compassionate leader who demonstrates integrity, professionalism and a strong commitment to improving outcomes for children and families. You will be highly skilled in building respectful relationships, working systemically and influencing practice across a range of services and agencies, ensuring that the voice of the child remains central to all decision-making. Essential Qualifications and Experience <ul><li>A recognised social work qualification and current registration with Social Work England.</li> <li>Extensive post-qualification experience within statutory children’s services, including evidence of continuous professional development.</li> <li>Proven experience of working strategically and operationally at management level, with a track record of driving practice improvement and delivering positive outcomes.</li> <li>Demonstrable experience of managing complex change within large organisations and influencing service provision across partner agencies.</li> <li>Experience of chairing complex meetings and maintaining independence in escalating practice concerns, including liaison with CAFCASS in line with statutory guidance.</li> </ul> Key Qualities and Attributes <ul><li>Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate and support a team of qualified and experienced social workers.</li> <li>Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to produce high-quality reports for a range of audiences including senior leaders.</li> <li>Ability to provide constructive challenge and professional advice to improve practice standards.</li> <li>A commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion, ensuring these principles are embedded in all aspects of service delivery.</li> <li>Resilience and adaptability to work effectively in a changing environment, embracing innovation and continuous improvement.</li> </ul> Non-Negotiable Qualities <ul><li>Child-centred approach with a relentless focus on safeguarding and improving outcomes.</li> <li>Professional integrity and independence in decision-making.</li> <li>Ability to work collaboratively while maintaining accountability for statutory responsibilities.</li> </ul> Commitment to the Council’s iCare values and behaviours in all aspects of work.
