We are seeking a passionate individual with a drive for helping people to provide advice and assistance to people at risk of homelessness. The successful candidate will have excellent knowledge of Homelessness Legislation, oral and written communication skills, the ability to achieve defined performance targets and experience of working with a variety of households and client groups, including those who may be vulnerable or at risk. In this role, you would liaise with partners and other agencies to ensure applicants are able to make informed decisions and have access to the appropriate pathways and access routes into housing. You will need the ability to negotiate and identify innovate solutions to help customers reach suitable housing solutions and make determinations on Temporary Accommodation placements where necessary. &nbsp;Applicants must have a driving licence that is valid in the UK. An Enhanced check will be undertaken with the Disclosure and Barring Service to ensure that the successful candidate has no relevant convictions.  About the role We are looking for a proactive&nbsp;and organised individual&nbsp;to manage the operational aspects of the Council’s four park home sites in this new role. You will ensure legal compliance with site agreements and rules, maintain health and safety standards through regular site visits, and liaise with customers, colleagues, and external agencies on matters relating to purchasing, selling, and site maintenance.
 About you Educated to degree level or equivalent, with knowledge of housing and mobile home legislation and health and safety requirements, you will also have previous experience of managing projects and contract management and monitoring. Good customer service skills and the ability to communicate well with a wide range of people both in writing and face to face. Strong customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal with a wide range of people is essential. Attention to detail, flexibility to adapt to changing demands together with access to a vehicle for business use for regular site visits is also required for this post.

Housing Allocations Officer (P01520) Starting salary £28,426pa with progression to £30,324pa through annual increments subject to satisfactory service (inclusive of outer fringe allowance) 37 hours per week (hybrid working) Permanent contract The post-holder, alongside a small team, will be responsible for providing housing advice and assessment to the public over the telephone and face to face, managing the Council’s Housing Needs Register, shortlisting for vacant council properties, making nominations to Local Registered Providers and undertaking a range of associated administrative duties. You will need to have attained GCSE grade C (or 4) in Math’s and English, or equivalent, have experience of working with the public in a face to face and busy environment and be IT literate.
