Job Introduction

We are seeking an experienced and qualified Arborist to join our team. In this role, you will help maintain the trees within our open spaces to a high standard, ensuring they are healthy, well-managed, and safe for the public. You will play a key role in supporting the ongoing care and maintenance of our tree stock while helping to protect and enhance our green spaces.

  • The role will require you to work flexibly on a rota basis covering a variety of shifts including weekends, evenings, bank holidays and Christmas working.
  • To work outside normal office hours from time to time as the demands of the post and emergencies dictate in additional to the out of hours rota
  • This job includes duties that may require an element of physical exertion and mobility on an occasional or frequent basis
  • Flexible approach to working hours, able to work outside normal office hours if necessary, including a requirement to be available for evening meetings.
  • The postholder will assist with the activities of a small team of arboriculture staff, ensuring this is carried out safely, efficiently, competently and to a high standard. They will also participate in routine machinery maintenance, ensuring correct and safe use of equipment and vehicles.
