We would like to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Officer to deliver regulatory services in relation to Licensing, including the administration and enforcement of the Licensing Act 2003, Gambling Act 2005, Taxi and Private Hire, Street Trading, Sexual Entertainment, Charitable Collections, Pavement Licensing and Animal Activity Licensing.&nbsp;
The primary purpose of this post is to protect the public and support compliant businesses through the delivery of a full range of licensing functions as part of a multi-skilled, Compliance Team. &nbsp;The team regulates a diverse range of disciplines including: environmental control, public health, food safety, health &amp; safety, licensing, planning, private sector housing and environmental crime.
This is also an exciting time for Guildford as we continue with our collaboration with neighbouring Waverley Borough Council.&nbsp; The two Council’s have a shared senior management team and there is further collaboration planned across the organisations, with a shared service, including a shared licensing team, likely to take effect from early 2026.&nbsp; This may involve staff moving under the employment of Waverley Borough Council, however details are to be agreed.
On a typical day, you would:

<li>Assist the Council in discharging is Licensing and Registration functions, including determining applications, inspections and presenting reports for hearings,</li>
<li>Respond to service requests involving the licensing area, such as investigating complaints, assisting customers and others with requests for advice and collecting evidence for legal proceedings,</li>
<li>Assist with the development of Policies and Procedures.</li>
</ul>
To succeed in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:

The Role
As a Senior Compliance Officer, you will help us investigate and resolve alleged breaches of planning control.&nbsp; Sometimes these could be quite complex cases which will draw on your experience and knowledge of Planning legislation and dealing with sensitive and difficult situations.&nbsp; Don’t worry if some of these may be new to you, our Team Leader is here to support you too.

We are recruiting an exciting new role within Warmer Homes London, a new joint endeavour of the GLA and London Councils to accelerate the pace and scale of quality retrofit across the capital.
The Delivery Programme Officer (Retrofit) will be an integral part of multidisciplinary team, initially dedicated to supporting the 27 members of London’s Social Housing Fund Wave 3 Strategic Partnership to deliver retrofit measures across social housing in the capital at an unprecedented scale.
You will be a primary operational contact working with Local Authorities and Housing Associations retrofitting homes in their SHF Wave 3 projects. Whilst this will initially be for London’s SHF Wave 3 Strategic Partnership, the role will also extend to supporting other pan-London retrofit consortia as they are developed in future.
The successful candidate will be experienced in the delivery of retrofit measures in a social housing context, will have experience of central government retrofit grant funding, and be able to demonstrate project manager capabilities.

About the Role:
As Clerk of Works, you will support the Project Manager and be responsible for providing comprehensive support across all areas of programme delivery, liaising with tenants, leaseholders, contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
Overview of the role:

<li>Act as the main point of contact for tenants, build strong relationships with contractors and internal teams, and attend meetings to discuss progress of works.</li>
<li>Maintain accurate records and documentation for all capital projects in line with council policies.</li>

<li>Support the Programme Service Manager in their role as the council&amp;©s advisory lead, providing advice and expertise.</li>

About the Role
