Your role in our journey
As a Telecare Responder within Assistive Living Technologies you’ll be an important part of the nationally accredited team that provides a 24/7 Monitoring Centre, Response and Installation Team.
You will provide round-the-clock support to vulnerable service users ensuring they get the help they need as soon as possible for example, after a fall. As part of our inclusive and resident-focused service, you’ll play a vital role in actively promoting local Employment and Skills related programmes to Barnsley residents, facilitating increased interest, enquiry, engagement and participation in learning opportunities and employment support. You’ll inform individuals and identify the learning and employability pathways available to them so that they can access the support they need to thrive.

Your role in our journey
You’ll work directly with residents across Barnsley in promoting the local Employment and Skills offer at community-based events, venues and through relevant digital media to raise awareness of and interest in the opportunities available to move forward in learning, work and life and connect them with the most suitable learning and/or employment support. Whether it’s helping someone to think about their long- or short-term goals, or take their first step in a new direction, your work will make a real difference.&nbsp; You will be required to transport and set up display &amp; marketing resources.
You’ll also collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure a seamless and supportive experience for every resident you engage with. From maintaining accurate records to celebrating learning and work outcomes, you’ll be a key part of our mission to improve people’s lives across the borough.
What we’re looking for
You will have a relevant level 2 qualification and hold or be willing to work towards a L2 qualification in Information, Advice &amp; Guidance.&nbsp;
You will also bring to the role a commitment to work flexibly, and an appetite for engaging with hard-to-reach residents of Barnsley

Engagement and Support Officer

We are looking for an individual with strong leadership skills to lead and motivate&nbsp;a team of children in care Social Workers&nbsp;and&nbsp;who has&nbsp;a passion for improving the lives of children in the care system. The post holder will be solution focused and have&nbsp;significant experience&nbsp;of working&nbsp;with&nbsp;children in care, foster carers, residential providers, 16+ provisions&nbsp;and multi-disciplinary partner agencies&nbsp;including Health and Education.&nbsp;You will always question ‘would this be good enough for my child’.&nbsp;You will&nbsp;be responsible for&nbsp;a small team of social workers, offering regular reflective supervision and driving&nbsp;timely&nbsp;decisions and plans for children that will achieve positive and sustainable outcomes for their future.&nbsp;&nbsp;
Other key responsibilities&nbsp;include&nbsp;overseeing budgets, performance management,&nbsp;chairing strategy&nbsp;meetings&nbsp;and placement stability meetings. &nbsp;&nbsp;
Children and their families are at the centre of all that we do, and our practice is underpinned by a strength based and relational model. Your role as manager is key in supporting our social workers to develop relationships and to really know and understand children; to have the support to undertake analytical assessment and apply evidence-based interventions and direct work, focussing on progressing care plans for our children and young people.&nbsp;&nbsp;If you are committed to the highest standards of Social Work practice in supporting our social workers to achieve the best outcomes for&nbsp;our children in&nbsp;care&nbsp;we want to hear from you&nbsp;

We are looking for someone with;&nbsp;

<li>A recognised social work qualification</li>
<li>Significant experience of working with children and their families and of driving planning and outcomes, with a creative approach to intervention</li>
<li>A sound working knowledge of the policies, legislation and procedures that underpin social work practice, with knowledge of children in care processes and experience of working in this area.</li>
<li>Significant experience of supervising social workers, and of supporting and mentoring</li>
<li>Experience of working within performance frameworks</li>
<li>Experience of working in partnership to improve outcomes for children</li>
</ul>

Team Manager - Children in Care

An opportunity has arisen to work in our Resilient Communities Team as a projects and Contracts Officer. We are looking for candidates with a passion for improving the lives of our residents, with vision and the ability to work effectively with partners to deliver excellent services and outcomes for our customers.
A comprehensive understanding and experience of working in a complex environment, planning and co-ordination, the commissioning process, contracting and performance monitoring is required.
The postholder will work within a portfolio that leads on the development and delivery of interventions to reduce the impact of poverty and food insecurity, and the provision of support to the Armed Forces Community.&nbsp; This includes the delivery of the Department for Educations Holiday Activity and Food Programme, and distribution of the Household Support Fund.
The role is varied, and you will be required you to work at pace to support the development and delivery of interventions to meet new and emerging need.&nbsp; The roll also includes contract monitoring, performance management and financial accountability, and you should have experience and an understanding of all aspects of the commissioning cycle.
Poverty and food insecurity ae complex, ever changing and emotive subjects and it is essential you have an understanding of these subjects.&nbsp; You should also have an understanding of the principles of the Armed Forces Covenant, and the challenges faced by members of the Armed Forces Community.
For either post you must also be able to display:
·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;An ability to interrogate and analyse data and information and produce quality documentation including reports to support system change and service delivery.

About the Role

You will use your skills and experience to influence the wider determinants of health and embed public health approaches in everyday service planning and delivery
Focusing on early intervention and prevention, your portfolio will be broad, covering all housing tenures. You’ll lead the planning and delivery of public health programmes and initiatives that support residents to live in healthy, affordable, and secure homes. You may also manage contracts, engage stakeholders, and conduct research and evaluation to reduce inequalities and create a&nbsp;<a href="https://www.barnsley.gov.uk/services/council-and-democracy/barnsley-2030/healthy-barnsley/" target="_blank">Healthy Barnsley</a>.
Key Responsibilities

<li>Lead, plan, and deliver public health programmes to address the causes of poor housing conditions and tackle health inequalities across Barnsley.</li>
<li>Work in close partnership with colleagues across the council, NHS, Berneslai Homes, and community/voluntary groups.</li>
<li>Commission, manage, and evaluate projects and contracts that support healthy, sustainable neighbourhoods.</li>
<li>Engage stakeholders and facilitate collaborative working to achieve shared goals.</li>
<li>Develop and implement public health strategies and plans, engaging stakeholders and aligning actions across services and agencies</li>
<li>Conduct research and evaluation to inform policy and practice.</li>
