Housing is a top priority for Hackney. The Council is responsible for the homes of a significant proportion of residents living in the borough, representing approximately 23,000 tenanted and 9,000 leasehold properties. The Cabinet recently approved our Housing Improvement Plan, aiming to improve the quality of the homes we are responsible for and the services we provide to our residents. Underpinning all of this is our data and what it can tell us about our performance, properties and the support our residents may need. Following an internal promotion, we are now looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst to work with teams across Housing services to drive service excellence.
Over the past year we have bedded in a new performance management dashboard and a key part of the role will be the ongoing liaison with service managers to understand performance trends, provide challenges, identify improvement priorities and develop / support the implementation of improvement action plans.
Working within the Housing Transformation team, you will be required to monitor data analysis across various teams, such as Building Maintenance, Tenancy Management, Homeownership, Property and Asset Management and Building Safety.
Beyond this, you will also be responsible for carrying out in-depth analysis of data on an ad-hoc basis to provide further insight on performance and drive improvement projects.
To excel in this position, you will have a track record of delivering high quality performance reports within tight deadlines, as well as experience of carrying out complex data analysis work, strong ICT skills / system knowledge and supporting service improvement. You will also have excellent communication skills, as a key aspect of this role will be the ability to build effective working relationships up to director level, challenge performance and communicate performance trends with people at all levels of the organisation.
A knowledge and understanding of benchmarking processes and practices is required, combined with experience of using programmes such as SQL, QlikSense, GIS – Mapinfo.
Experience in Housing is desirable but not essential.

Are you up for a challenge? We are looking for an enthusiastic, IT literate, motivated individual to work as a Housing Scheme Officer within our Housing Scheme &amp; Finance team. This is an exciting opportunity, working in a specialist intensive housing management team which is responsible for delivering a comprehensive customer centred enhanced housing management support service through its day to day management of Dartford Borough Council’s sheltered properties for older people. Please note that this is a remote worker role, based in and around Dartford’s sheltered housing schemes, and so efficient use of your time is essential to successfully achieve the many and varied tasks you will be responsible for throughout the day.
Previous experience in a similar role is desirable, as is an in-depth understanding of safeguarding issues, but full training will be provided to the successful applicant.&nbsp; Other key duties include signposting tenants to support services and helping tenants to maintain their independence.&nbsp; Managing low level anti-social behaviour from a variety of sources (not just the occupants of the building) is also an essential part of this role, as well as undertaking property management inspections and assisting with rent arrears recovery. Environmental Crime, such as Fly Tipping and Littering, is becoming a national issue but Dartford Borough Council are dealing with this problem robustly and are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated individual to join our extremely busy Environmental Crime Enforcement Team.&nbsp; We are looking for someone, ideally, with an enforcement background, capable of working on their own but who is also a strong team player who can fit into a busy multi- agency environment.
Waste, Public Realm &amp; Enforcement Services is a multi service environment and you will also be involved, on occasions, with the work of other officers who deal with enforcement, parks and open spaces, events, licencing and town centre business crime partnerships. On occasions, you may deputise for the senior environmental enforcement officer, attend and contribute at regular information and best practice meetings, with other regional borough environmental enforcement teams, the KCC intelligence team, when required. Previous experience of working in a law enforcement, security, community safety or similar role is desirable as is dealing with the public in, sometimes, difficult situations with the ability to stay calm under pressure. Relevant knowledge of environmental crime legislation would be advantageous, but more important is the ability to be confident, diplomatic and assertive. Good ICT skills are required together with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. You should also enjoy analysing information and problem solving as this will be an integral part of the role.

<li>You should be capable of carrying out detailed investigations and interviews, often in partnership with the Police or Environment Agency, to tackle fly tipping and other environmental crime offences.</li>
<li>You will be required to prepare case files and attend Court to give evidence.</li>
<li>The interviewing of alleged offenders, statement taking, case file preparation/case building along with intelligence gathering, and dissemination, court attendance and giving evidence are key elements of this position.</li>
<li>You will be involved in promoting public awareness of environmental crime issues as well as other duties that may include dealing with unauthorised encampments, fly grazing, public space protection orders and offences associated with Civil Enforcement.</li>
<li>You should be conversant with relevant legislation and guidance such as the Environmental Protection Act 1990, Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984, the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000 and the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014.</li>
<li>You will be required to operate both on foot and in a vehicle, performing duties such as visiting sites of fly tipping and fly posting etc. to obtain and record evidence.</li>
<li>You will be required to take the appropriate enforcement actions, such as serving of a summons to court or issuing Fixed Penalty Notices for environmental crime offences.</li>
</ul>
Some evening, weekend and Bank Holiday working may be required for which a 10% allowance is paid. You should have a full, clean driving licence as you may, on occasions, be required to use your own vehicle, for which an allowance will be paid.

As an Operational Officer – Reception, the post holder will be the first point of contact via reception and telephone for enquires from service users and visitors.&nbsp; They will need the ability to respond promptly to incoming queries and assist everybody that comes into the building, this involves liaising with children, young people and staff at all levels of the organisation.&nbsp; The role involves organising and coordinating Referral Order Panel meetings with Panel members, children and parents/family members/carers as well as supporting case managers in updating court results and out of court disposals on our internal systems.
You will have excellent telephone and communication skills; the ability to work on your own initiative and excellent organisational skills to ensure that you work within tight and competing deadlines.&nbsp; We are seeking an individual with relevant experience who can contribute new ideas and start working effectively from the outset.&nbsp;
The successful candidate will also need a good working knowledge of Microsoft word, Excel and other software packages with the ability to use various databases.
The role requires occasional evening work.
