    Chelmsford City Council operates four leisure centres across the city, each offering a diverse range of sport and fitness activities to the local community.

    We are currently seeking a motivated and personable individual to join our gym team. The ideal applicant will have a natural flair for building rapport and supporting others on their fitness journey. Working alongside our experienced gym instructors, you’ll deliver outstanding customer service, conduct inductions and assessments, and help members achieve their health and fitness goals.

    The successful applicant will need to hold a Level 3 qualification in Personal Training, demonstrate excellent communication and customer care skills, and bring a high level of enthusiasm and professionalism to your work.

    Key responsibilities in this role include designing and delivering personalised fitness, conducting fitness assessments and support member retention, leading group exercise classes in line with your qualifications, and assisting with the day-to-day operations of the gym floor

    This part time position, of 14.75 hours per week, is available to support the opening hours of the centre [Monday – Friday, 6am – 10pm, and Saturday and Sunday, 6am – 7pm]. Shifts will operate on a three week rotating schedule and will include evening and weekend shifts.
