This is an exciting role for someone who is passionate about delivering excellent customer service to the Winchester district. We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Customer Service Advisor to work in our customer service team. The ideal candidate will need to be self-motivated, enthusiastic, organised, customer focused and a team player. You will also have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written at all levels, and to use your initiative to problem solve and find solutions.&nbsp;
Centrally based at our main Colebrook Street offices in Winchester you will be working in a busy fast moving reception and in our customer service center receiving telephone calls, face to face enquiries, email and web queries for all of the Councils main services, being the first point of contact for our customers.&nbsp;
Training will be provided but experience of working within a customer focused environment and a genuine desire to deliver an excellent service is required. Applicants will need to have excellent communication and IT literacy skills.
Working hours are 8:30am to 5pm Monday to Thursday and Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm with one hour lunch break.&nbsp;

What is required?
• &nbsp; &nbsp;You will need to be resilient, reliable, and conscientious. • &nbsp; &nbsp;Enjoy working as part of a team. • &nbsp; &nbsp;Have excellent customer care skills. • &nbsp; &nbsp;Have a friendly and effective manner. • &nbsp; &nbsp;You will need to converse at ease with members of the public in fluent English to provide advice. • &nbsp; &nbsp;Perform the safe manual handling, setting up and breaking down heavy equipment within operational guidelines. • &nbsp; &nbsp;You will need to be organised and be calm under pressure. • &nbsp; &nbsp;You will need to gain the ‘National Pool Lifeguard Qualification’, which can be funded by us (there is a payback of training fees if you do not qualify within the probationary period). • &nbsp; &nbsp;On qualifying you will need to pass regular competency tests. • &nbsp; &nbsp;You will need to pass a swim test which will be conducted at interview stage. • &nbsp; &nbsp;This role requires a disclosure and barring service check as it is working with children and vulnerable clients.
