About the Role

This role supports the delivery of a high-quality Community Equipment Service, helping disabled people of all ages maintain their health, independence, and daily living. To assist in providing an effective, efficient equipment loan service to sick and disabled people of all ages, including children, to develop their full potential and to maintain their health and independence.

To provide an effective delivery, collection, fitting & repair service of community equipment, for residents and establishments normally within the Sefton geographical area.

To ensure vehicles are properly secured each evening, undertake routine maintenance checks of vehicles as appropriate and undertake ‘key holder’ duties

Working as part of a team. You will follow strict infection control, health and safety, and data protection procedures to ensure a safe environment for staff and service users.

This is a practical, hands-on role requiring attention to detail, teamwork, and a commitment to delivering a reliable, customer-focused service. You will be expected to work efficiently and effectively, contributing positively to the team and helping deliver a high-quality service.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Deliver, collect, fit and repair community equipment for service users across Sefton.
  • Provide a reliable, efficient and customer-focused equipment service.
  • Carry out vehicle safety checks and ensure vehicles are clean, safe and secure.
  • Follow infection control, health and safety, manual handling and data protection procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records and complete paperwork as required.
  • Work effectively as part of a team to support high-quality service delivery.
  • Undertake key-holder duties and other responsibilities appropriate to the role.
