We're looking for a talented Communications Team Leader to join our friendly and ambitious team for a fixed-term period of two years.
&nbsp;
This is a fantastic opportunity to shape and deliver strategic communications&nbsp;that support our corporate priorities and strengthen the council's public profile. From managing high-profile campaigns to leading a small but dedicated team, no two days are the same.
&nbsp;
What you'll be doing:

<ul>
<li>Leading and coordinating a busy communications team delivering proactive PR, internal communications, events, and digital content.</li>
<li>Managing communications projects that support the council's Corporate Plan, major events, and service transformation.</li>
<li>Acting as a key advisor to senior officers and elected members on media handling and communications strategy.</li>
<li>Leading our response to media enquiries and supporting the council's reputation through thoughtful and timely PR.</li>
<li>Planning and delivering engaging, multi-channel campaigns that speak directly to our communities.</li>
</ul>

What we're looking for:

<ul>
<li>A communications or PR professional with significant experience in a similar role, ideally within a complex or public sector setting.</li>
<li>A confident leader with excellent people skills and a flair for motivating and developing others.</li>
<li>Someone who's strategic, creative, and can juggle multiple priorities while delivering high-quality work.</li>
<li>A strong understanding of the media landscape and the ability to advise on reputational risk and opportunity.</li>
</ul>

We are looking for a highly motivated individual, with lots of creative ideas, to join our small and busy communications teams communications and marketing assistant.&nbsp;&nbsp;
Do you have a passion for creating innovative and engaging content which can reach a wide and diverse audience? Do you have a flair for writing clear and interesting copy for a number of existing and developing communication channels?&nbsp;&nbsp;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for this new role. The postholder will support the team by writing copy for newsletters, creating and monitoring content for our social media profiles and assisting with collating information for media enquiries.&nbsp;&nbsp;
The postholder will help to monitor and evaluate our communications and marketing activity and suggest potential opportunities and improvements. They will be able to demonstrate knowledge of a wide range of communication channels and tools.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
