Join Our Business Intelligence Team as a Data Analyst at Wokingham Borough Council!

Are you a skilled Data Analyst looking to make a real impact in local government? Wokingham Borough Council is seeking a Data Analyst to join our Digital, Data and Technology Team. This is a technical data analysis role situated within our Data Team, which is responsible for providing organisation-wide data solutions.

About the Role: As a Data Analyst, you will be working to enhance the Council’s data capability to meet the increasingly complex challenges in local government. The core purpose is to support the delivery of the Business Intelligence Programme, contributing to all aspects of the data product development lifecycle. You will focus on developing reporting solutions primarily using Azure and Power BI for services across the organisation, ensuring our residents are at the heart of what we do. This role is crucial for equipping officers and leadership with the data needed to make evidence-based decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver data projects within the Business Intelligence Programme, driving the shift towards automated, live reporting.
• Engage with and support services, building solutions flexibly and creatively using agile methodologies.
• Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to deliver project objectives and contribute to strategic priorities.
• Provide specialist advice and input to corporate projects and programmes.
• Support the development of other data team members and officers, actively sharing technical knowledge and promoting data-driven decision-making.
