    As Youth Early Help Service, we are dedicated to ensuring that all young people and their families succeed, excel in their education, and have access to a range of exciting and early help services when needed. We strive to help children and young people maximise their potential for growth and development, become resilient, stay safe, and lead healthier, more positive lifestyles.

    What You’ll Be Doing / How You’ll Be Involved

    Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people? Join our Youth Hub Multi-disciplinary Team, dedicated to delivering universal and targeted support services for children and young people.

    You will build trust and foster meaningful relationships with young people, particularly those who are marginalised or at risk, empowering them to become active citizens in their locality. Your work will focus on promoting personal growth, resilience and life skills while addressing issues such as antisocial behaviour to create safer, more inclusive communities.

    You will contribute to developing and delivering a range of activities for young people. This role requires flexibility, resilience and adaptability. Your work will involve some unsociable hours including evenings and weekends. Public engagement is a key aspect of the role, requiring strong interpersonal skills to navigate interactions with diverse individuals including those who may present challenges.

    Alongside your direct work with young people, you will ensure compliance with Health and Safety legislation, adhering to Council policies and departmental codes of practice. This is a deeply rewarding role offering the opportunity to make a tangible and lasting impact in the lives of young people and their communities.

    This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and will require an Enhanced DBS. Please note Camden also offers the DBS update service.

    To be considered for this exciting opportunity it is essential the successful candidate has an NVQ/VRQ Level 3 in Youth Work (JNC recognised) or above as well as experience of delivering youth work.

    As a Youth Worker, you will be an individual who is experienced, committed and confident in implementing a Youth Work process approach to actively engage young people in a community setting. You will be an excellent communicator who has the ability to engage and work innovatively with new young people and engaging them and their families and other professionals in order to assess, develop and deliver interventions and activities.

    You’ll be a committed and passionate professional who can work with young people to offer a holistic support services that develop their personal and social skills and participation in society. It is essential to have a good understanding of child development, with experience of using child protection and safeguarding procedures as required.

    To be considered for this vacancy it is essential the successful candidate has experience of delivering accredited and non-accredited programmes and is effective in the development and delivery of workshops.

    As a requirement for this role, you must be willing to work unsocial hours, which includes afters school, evenings and weekends.
